A Busy Day
Well let's see, I woke up yesterday at 8:30 AM or so, and left the house about an hour later and started heading down toward San Diego to visit a family friend. Let me tell you that area is hecka nice. The scenery is very serene and tranquil. The beach was about a 10 minute walk away from our friend's seven figure house, and the weather was nice. We ate lunch at some French place, and there I learned that his son has a B.S. in double e from Brown University and a M.B.A. from Harvard...dayam! After coming back we stopped at Downtown Disney in Anaheim and walked around for a bit. We looked around for funnel cake, but learned that they only sold those inside the actual park area. Weak!
For dinner my family of fourteen adults and two babies went out to the renowned
Lawry's out in Beverly Hills. That place is hecka nice and is right down the street from the Beverly Center. It's a semi-formal place, meaning no jeans , tank tops/athletic wear, and shorts, and I didn't notice any t-shirts. After showing up early for our 8:30 reservation and letting valet take over parking we spent some time eating some meat balls the place put out. We sat down around 8:35, but wanted a better table so we waited until around 9 PM. We started off with a house salad which wasn't too shabby at all, then Kevin and I split a pair of lobster tails. However the main course for everyone was a slice of prime rib, and I must say it was damn good. The cool thing about that place is when right after you order your type of cut of meat, they cut it and serve it to you right after. The family ate about two ps2s worth of meat and seafood, so I guess I wont be going there by myself anytime soon.
