Crossroads
The movie featured Britney Spears (duh), who plays a very smart, conservative girl who does something unexpected and out of character (the "might as well" expression comes to mind). In the movie she figures out that makeup is there to enhance the au naturel-ness, not for make-believe.

There's nothing to do now and mostly everyone's already turned in. Good night.
