Book Shopping, LPC
Got plenty of sleep last night. Slept earlier than 1:30 AM and woke up at 10:30, nice. Played a W3 game with Nick, then ate lunch. Jhermaine came and we left around 12:30 to go book shopping. We both didn't feel like going to San Leandro to go to Grey Wolf Books if they didn't even have the books, so we stopped at Nick's to use his phone (haha thanks). Called them up, turns out they have no computer catalog haha. Lady on the phone said there's a chance they could have them, so we'll go there after class tomorrow. First book we needed, the 10th edition of
The Norton Reader and something called
Hateship, Friendship, Courtship, Loveship, Marriage: Stories for our english 1a class. We first went to Barnes & Noble, and bought the latter for $24.00 plus tax. Then we went to Borders, and it was the same price there so didn't buy it again, obviously. It turns out the first book is no longer being published, so we had to buy that sucker from LPC for $45. Boo. Close to $75 for books, ouch.
Class was class. For some reason, and I'm not sure if it's the instructor or my lack of english skills, but that class is horrible. Nobody has done any of that sentence structure stuff since middle school, and anyhting else we haven't learned at all (at least not in any of the high school classes I took). Going through books is the only good thing, though, because the reading and analyzing makes me sorta want to start reading again. Psych was cool, as usual. We had a lecture/discussion about some rather interesting stuff about how the brain relates to the mind which relates to our behavior; how each affects the other. We then got into groups and talked about what influence our minds, what controls them, and what role emotions play. Not bad of a day. Precalc we went over something known as one to one functions, and after a whole bunch of garbage turns out to just be the horizontal line test, gosh. But I suppose with no calculators (easy way to graph), it is slightly more difficult.

Thanks, but I don't think so.
