taking the easy way out
Lunch, (Farewell) Dinner
Went back to the good ol' CVHS stomping grounds today. Showed up in the parking lot a tad after 1:00 PM, which was when I was told lunch time was (my brother even called me at 1:04 PM or so to tell me it was lunch time haha). Those high school kids eat late or something, sheez. Fortunately things went as (semi) planned as they were and I met up and took Flora and Athena along with Jon and Perry out to lunch at Subway. My previous thought of no one going to Subway for lunch was proved wrong when another group of CVHS students ended up in front of us. I got myself a six inch honey mustard ham sandwich that wasn't cut in the middle (I'm not even sure if it's supposed to be haha) which later proved to provide for slight misunderstanding on some people's part. Somewhere during that time I lost a friend named Benjamin, but met four new one's in Jackson. Got back to CVHS (on time, of course) and walked the girls to their classes. Ran into Junior Ton, Kenji Yan, and Monsieur Paule Junior while going back to the parking lot.
Went to Tom's house because Rob put on his new rims earlier and was there. Ate my Subway there. Kicked it there a little bit at the Yee household. That Dave guy is pretty funny. Then Rob and I left to go to Will's house. While making the drive there I noticed that Dave was in fact not joking about something (as I thought he would be), oh well. At Will's house I watched
Tomb Raider. The movie wasn't that bad... nice action sequences and the correct person played the title role, but the movie lacked any emotional substance. By the time I finished the movie, it was about time to roll out.
The guys started meeting at my house a bit after 5:00 PM. After everyone showed, we piled into two cars and made a quick stop at Willy's house to pick him up. My car was carrying the most weight, with Kevin, Nick, Gerald (yikes!), and Steph. Rob himself was full with Will ^2, Ken, and Jhermaine. All low end torque was nonexistent. We drove to Claim Jumper out in Concord, and got ourselves a number/beeper thing. We were told we'd have to wait about one to two hours, so we had plenty of time to sit around and what not. Some of us walked around the area, noticing the not-yet-opened Krisy Kreme's and Benihana. We went into Trader Joe's, but that just made us more hungry. =\ On the walk back I noticed a fountain; I was going to make a wish but remembered that I left my pennies at home. Noticed that Tom/Louisa and Chester/Tracy had gotten there. For almost two hours, we sat outside and waited for them to be ready for us. The time seemed to pass pretty quickly though, so that was pretty good. Good def jam comedy passed us the time.
Ah yes, around 8:15 we finally got in. We sat down in our 7 by 2 formation, feeling a great lust for food. Everyone ordered their drinks, and our third of the table ordered barbecue pork quesadillas as an appetizer, while Gerald got himself some fried calamari. Ok forget this weak stuff, time to move onto something strong. The name of the game was meat. I'm not sure how many animals we consumed, but it wasn't plenty. Everyone (well the guys at least) got either a 24 ounch prime rib, or a plate stacked with ribs. Quite savage if I say so myself. Nobody who ordered the Ore Carts (like 3 different types of ribs plus chicken) managed to finish their complete portion, even when the nice (for once) waitress offered to give us some free dessert, haha. I myself ordered the prime rib, but ended up trading a third of it with the rib guys. Apparently Kenji thought dinner was going to be some sort of McDonald's-type affair or something, and ended up eating the least out of everyone. For some reason still unbeknownst to me, he ate the baked potato instead of his meat, *shrug*. And thanks to the superfluous amount of food, def jam during the meal was kept to a minimum, yay. Overall the food was good, and worth the wait. Total was $434, which considering all the animals that said bye bye because of us, wasn't bad. I myself ate away a four and a half our day's worth of work at Target, but oh well. Half of the original arf screw is splitting up soon, so it was well worth it. Pictures (with captions, of course) of the great feast will be up tomorrow sometime.
"I'm a goody-goody."
Compliments of voice notes technology (because my short term memory is lacking):
"We got the whole lineup."
"He's good with the guys but horrible with the girls."
"You can't teach someone something that they don't have."
Ouch you know it's bad when Kenji starts getting in free shots. =/
Interesting quote (which I get daily in my mailbox) of note:
"Willing is not enough; we must do."
-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832)
Oh and no, she's not (in response to two things that one person said).
