This current week has been pretty laid back. I'm either playing Doom 3, GB, or watching tv it seems like. Saw The Bourne Identity. Great movie. I though it had a little less action than the first movie, but no matter. Ending leaves for the possibility of another sequal. My only complaint were the female leads. Julia Stiles gets like seven minutes of screen time and Franka Potente gets like thirteen. That's about my only gripe about the movie.

Last Friday (6th) was Chester's annual summer BBQ. Started a little later than we usually do, but that wasn't a problem. Of course the food was great, and with the company made for a well spent night (except my seat got jacked). It was also the first time Buth was present for such an occasion, and I think he did alright. I tried to convince him to try some eggplant but he was being pansy about it. Only thing missing that night was the beer Gerald so badly wanted to bring but couldn't. After the bbq we played some poker and perudo. This year, we got Chester a pair of A&F shorts, and a... Doug Christie (KINGS) jersey. AHAHHA "ROTFLMAO!!!" Why Chester likes him so much I will never know. I personally think the only reason he starts is because Bibby and Stojakovic (who will be a Laker soon) can make up for his lack of offense.

Someone over the past few weeks we went out to play some bball at the rec. Mac and Vince came out and joined Kevin, Tom, Chester, and myself in some games with some younger kids. We didn't win any games, but we're old. Anyways from that game, turns out, Mac owned his knee and couldn't walk correctly for a few days. On the bright side, Mac finally went to see a doctor and he's finally going to start physical therapy now. After a year of not doing anything about it. Slacker.

More movies. First is The Whole Ten Yards. Although this sequal should probably have never been made, it was okay. I thought it was pretty funny at times, in a stupid sort of way. I still don't buy Bruce Willis doing comedy. Two things: Natasha Henstridge is getting old, and Amanda Peet is still as cute and spunky as ever, but different than her One Fine Day and Jack & Jill days. Other movie is 50 First Dates. I'm good with these movies, so that's that.

Now, back up another weekend (July 31). Some of us went to a party at a club type deal. I've always known that the clubbing scene is not my place in life. Never has nor it it ever will be. Good thing was seeing Vicky who I haven't seen in the longest time. My lack of floor presence however, did not make for a bad night. Some dudes got into a fight, and Wiz and I had front row seats to two chicks making out. That definitely made my night. Actually now that I think about it, a few drinks in the system would have made things easier. I guess I will have to test the scene again, maybe in a year or so.

Back it up again (July 22-23). Gerald, Ken, and I went up to Davis to party at EZ's. I've been saying forever I would, and now I finally did. It was only us three who went cuz most were being lame or pansy about the whole thing. A bad excuse is better than no excuse, and that's all I'll say about that. Anyways we left in the afternoon, got there and met Wiz and chilled a bit before heading out. There we had a few drinks, played some pool, and somehow (forgot really) passed the time. Eventually Kevin and Marvin show up at some point and join us. There was this girl (from around here) there whose name I forgot (obviously), who knocked a few back and was giving some good ol' tude. Heh it was pretty funny with her shit talking, saying she'd beat me in anything, right then and there. My mofo stupid ass couldn't think of anything quick enough to be a gg for me, and Gerald wasn't much help either cuz his drunk ass was just there laughing or something. Boo. JR couldn't make it for anything and had to stay in CV cuz he's whipped. Oh.

Anyways Gerald, Ken, Kevin, Allen Chai (the real gayman), Brian Phillips (Ichiro), and myself walked back to Wiz's place to crash. Somehow we made it to Dell Taco by car and came back and ate "300 tacos" according to Ich. Someone also said the hot sauce (or sour cream) tasted like vodka, LOL. After a few hours of doing who knows what, we all passed out. I was on the floor next to a window, Gerald got a bed (whose going to fight him?), and Kevin was next to the bed in one room while Allen slept in his boxers between Ken and Ich on Wiz's bed, leaving wiz with the couch downstairs hahaha. I tell you though, that Allen is quite gay. Walking around in his drawers and always grabbing peoples legs and slapping for the balls and shit. Damn homo. It was cool seeing all the people aforementioned, and others I saw at the party: Kevin Wong, Robbie Garcia, Marc Ajel, and yes, even Benny Kim.

Hey, the distance I need to go for parties is getting shorter and shorter! Soon I wont have to pay a bridge toll anymore. You greedy bastards.

Another movie I recently saw was One Hour Photo. I think this movie pretty much proves that Robin Williams can do more than comedy. Movie was cool and kind of creepy. My only objection is that they made Connie Nielson only okay looking throughout the movie, except for one scene where they let her turn up the milf factor! Last movie to mention is Van Helsing. Bleh. It was okay. Definitely a movie that was made to satisfy your eyes. Kate Beckinsale is so damn hot, and even though Josie Maran was whack looking, we know what she really looks like so that makes it okay.
