MSFT can kiss my off yellow ass!!! Thanks to Dailo for pointing us in the right direction, and thanks to Luhn for showing both of us how stupid we are.
2006 (one-day) Snow Trip
The idea of a snowboarding day trip was first brought up during Thanksgiving. We set the date pretty much three weeks ago to give people enough time to plan accordingly. Unfortunately most had real work issues or had appointments they couldn't miss, but there will always be next time!
Thursday night Gerald, Kevin, Kevin, and I departed toward Davis around 8pm. After arriving we stopped by Safeway to purchase some snacks and drinks. Got back to Kevin's place and played a few drinking games and watched some TV before going to sleep. I think I managed to only sleep a few winks. Don't know if was because of the couch or of Gerald's snoring, or because I hadn't been awake long enough since waking up to go to sleep.
Friday morning we left around 7:15. Stopped in Auburn (the last real town before entering the mountains) to pick up some lunch from Albertson's. Those big ass sandwiches are pretty decent at eight dollars a piece. We then stopped at a McDonald's for breakfast, but due to a bus full of tourist Chinamen stopping there at the same time we decided to go to Carl's Jr. instead. The main breakfast items are pretty decent, but the tater tots can't compare with the McD hash brown. The carton of OJ was pretty terrible as well. Only ten ounces worth.
On the drive up we lost around a half hour worth of time because of a jackknifed big rig. At least it was a worthy accident. There were a lot of Caltrans vehicles plowing and blowing snow off the road.
After arriving at Boreal around 11:00, we suited up and fell in line to get lift tickets. Lost another thirty minutes because everyone was in the rental line. I guess that's one thing about following the masses; they could be wrong. After getting in the correct line, we waited about five more minutes before getting our $10 lift tickets from the counter girl who was sporting some UA type long sleeved shirt and a great rack.
Damn Gerald and his choice of route. He led us on a path that was super flat. Oh and I fell off the first lift. I blame adjusting to no stomp pad on my board. After I got up I felt my side tingling. Will go into this more later.
Anyways by the time I got to the bottom my feet were owned. I should have broken in my boots but I was a n00b. Seriously I couldn't feel the bottom of my feet. Will go into this more later. After loosening up my boots I was able to go down the run again. The only real fall I had was a suck one. I ended up in the goofy stance and when I tried to make the correction back to normal stance I ended up facing uphill and catching the back edge. Then I got owned. Now I can't lift my neck when I lay down without using my hands to pick my head up.
Passed out on the ride back, and got back to Davis around 5:00. I think most of us took a nap before departing back toward CV around 7:00. Pretty good trip. Steal of a deal. There were a few snow bunnies, but no underaged thongs like last time. Hopefully will go at least one or two more times this season.
As far as injuries go, when I wake up tomorrow I'm going to give myself a diagnosis of:
1) strained right
external oblique
2) strained
sternocleidomastoid, left and right
3) strained right
adductor longus
4) strained
plantar fascia
Prognosis: full recovery in 2-3 days. Limited overall movement until then.

No More Teachers, No More Books
Not that I really cared much for either...
Today I took my last final. This one actually crept up on me. While I was looking at the review sheet I realized I didn't have notes for one of the chapters. Turns out it was because I wasn't in class that particular day!
Anyways I was waiting in line to sell some books back when I looked over to the other side of the counter and saw this girl at the register getting her money (one line to return books, the other to get paid). 5'10", blonde, thin, and super pretty complexion. I swear as I got closer to her she got taller! I will go as far as to say she was the Hottest. Girl. All. Semester. that I've seen on campus. If it was warm and she were wearing less I'd probably sing even higher praises. I thought about telling her I didn't know girls like her went to school here, but I didn't want to lose my spot in line. Okay so I lie. Maybe.
Props to the dude at the Thai restaurant that hooked it up with a free soda.
The adorable (and soon to be hot)
Hayden Panettiere, who we know as Claire the cheerleader on
Heroes, the most engaging show that's been on TV in a while. She was also a voice for one of the characters in both Kingdom Hearts games!

¡Ay, caramba!
Today I stopped by the roach coach for lunch. It was the first time I've been to this particular stove-on-wheels even though it's in the same exact location as the previous one. Turns out the burrito is comparable, as far as the carne asada is concerned.
Anyways the meat (lol) of this story is that the cook tried to flip the tortilla on the grill by hand a few times but eventually gave up and used the spatula instead because he burned himself too many times. Also, his friend who was working the register at first indiscriminately mentioned a price of "cuatro y cincuenta" before looking up (down, technically) and realizing that I'm not a native speaker of his language. Then he was like was "uh... [insert silence]... uh... four fifty."
Here we have the delicious
Olivia Wilde, who we first met in the short-lived Fox series
Skin a few years ago. More recently we saw her modeling for Ezra Fitch and making out with Mischa Barton on
The O.C.. She was heavily considered for the role of Vesper Lynd in the latest 007 movie. Brunette and blue-eyed gets me every time.
No More Classes
Yes, the last day of instruction was yesterday. 15 weeks of boshet has ended. Coming up are two finals next Tuesday and Thursday, respectively. Also gotta finish up my part of our portfolio in the layout class. Allahu akbar!
