i'm starting to cry, you're so out of touch
the trouble with you is you think too much
What's up
Yeaaah it's 2:30 AM right now. Anyways. Woke up around 11:00ish and worked the butt grove in my chair. Didn't eat till 1:30 PM or so, and yes, popcorn is a junk food. Worked on the W3 single player, got as far as the seccond mission in the Night Elft campaign. 6:00 or so rolled around, and it was time to finally leave the house. A bunch of people went over to Akemi's house to hang out and eat dinner. It was nice to see those who I haven't seen in a while and those who I don't see at all. Dang, did anyone catch that one guys hair? Now that's savage. Willy, Nick, and I left around 11:00. As with tradition, the ride home proved to be interesting. All of the sudden a squirrel crosses the road left-to-right and Willy veers left to try to avoid it. The sucker ends up going right under the car. We're not sure if it was assasinated or not. Willy says there wasn't anything on his tires, but I will look tomorrow. Poor fella if it did indeed get ran over =\. Dang, I have to work at 11:00, after not working for a few weeks. I'm by myself. I can already tell you that unless someone throws a gold brick at me or something, it's gonna suck big time.

you might been hurt babe, that aint no lie
you've seen them all come and go,
but i'm not like them
Friday
Ah yes, I was blatantly disturbed at the park at 10:30 in the morning with a phone call from Nick. Punk. He wanted to go to Target to get his leave stuff settled, so we went there along with Willy. I wanted to check to see if I work on Sunday, but the schedule wasn't up yet. I think I might have to (oh boy that's gonna suuuuuck), but there's a chance I wont. We then went to Circuit City, walking around looking at the various things we'd like to eventually have. After coming home and eating lunch, I didn't do much during the afternoon. Sometime in the evening I decided to give my car a wash, so I spent a good hour and a half doing that. By the time I was done dinner was ready and I ate that while watching the A's game. Later at my desk (doing hw no doubt) an Acura pulls on my driveway, and I saw that it was Mare. So in her car, along with Nick and Jhermaine, we took a little stroll do Oakland through the whackest route possible. Oh well. We then went to Will's house, and there we watched some more of the A's game, played a game of scrabble (which I lost big time... I always seemed to be short a letter, whether it was a S, A, F, E (safe!), boo, and watched Undercover Brother. The movie threw in many cultural jokes, and for the most was funny. For the first time in a long while, there weren't too many clouds and the stars came out and filled up the sky (yay). The drive home was nice, with a spectacular vocal rendition of O-Town's All Or Nothing, compliments of your's truly, me. Got home played some WC, showered, and finished it off with some CS. Now it's time to sleep. I wonder what I'm gonna do later for today, hmm. Good night.
No, the timestamp is not accurate, I cheated. =P

dreams, they were all i ever knew
dreams, you won't need when i'm through
LPC, MTV VMA's, Elaboration
Socialogy today. We learned about family structure and organization in the Manapur and Amish cultures. Basically the whole lecture was about how boys were more desired in both cultures and the roles of both genders. Then the lecture turned a little to modern American culture and how men are generally the wage earners and providers, while women's roles aren't completely clear yet at this time. Don't come complaining to me I just sit there and take notes.
Well the MTV VMA's were just on. The whole digital filming thing was a trip in the beginning. Also, there seemed to be a lot less performances than last year. I still say the best show was two years ago, but oh well. Eminem again cleaned house.
Alright, let me expatiate some on last night's post. In my humble opinion, makeup exists only take what's already present and highlight and improve natural complextion. It's not made to create new identities or to scare the crap out of a guy. When the makeup is removed, you should be able to tell that it's the same person, before and after. Personally, when I bake a cake (yeah, I bake) and can't tell the difference, that's a little frightening. Little eye liner or mascara here, a little cover up there to cover a pimple if needed... fine. Just scale back a bit, willya? Be glad with what's been given. My worn expression of "playing the cards that are dealt" comes to mind. OR, you can go au naturel... yes, some girls are just down right pretty as is, with no need to get "dolled up."
Please everybody don't scold me at once now.
psych teacher's trick to memorize what the limbic system controls:
"You practice a sexual behavior which generates an emotion that you learn and memorize as being good. So then it becomes part of your biological rhythm to want to have sex again, which affects your social behavior."
Something like that. Pretty good huh?

Nissan 350Z
My dad's been waiting for the phone call from the dealer all summer for when these suckers were gonna come in, and I guess he got it sometime last week, so we decided to go check out this new bad boy at the dealer. There were only two there, and I believe one was presold and the other just got to the lot an hour ago via truck. Quite an impressive car... 0 - 60 in five and a half seconds, 3500 ml displacement, 287 ponies, 274 pounds of torque, continuous variable valve timing, and a 6 speed close-ratio manual tranny that controls the beast. We'll probably make another trip out again when there are actual units to test drive. My only grip is a $10,000 markup (and I guess a 6600 redline, but that's not too important). Haha, a markup on a Nissan.

Crossroads
The movie featured Britney Spears (duh), who plays a very smart, conservative girl who does something unexpected and out of character (the "might as well" expression comes to mind). In the movie she figures out that makeup is there to enhance the au naturel-ness, not for make-believe.
There's nothing to do now and mostly everyone's already turned in. Good night.

it's all over, i'm here, there is nothing to fear
won't you let me inside what you so want to hide?
For some reason I just really wanted to get to school today. I guess it was because it was soo boring at home or something. Psych is getting pretty informative, but I'm liking that class. Right now we're going over cells and the different systems and functions of some organs and tissues and what not. Neuron pathways, contusions, bi-polorism, oh baby. Precalc is still okay because it's basically review stuff, also it's pretty cool because our instructor's pretty lazy or something, so he let us out at 9:00 PM haha. Oh well. Haven't done anything yet since I got home, and I won't for the rest of the night.
from psych class:
student 1: "But you're a teenager, life is supposed to suck."
younger students in class: "Word."
instructor: "Yeah, most teenagers feel like that, and sometimes it leads to thoughts of suicide. They'll think like 'Man, if this is as good as it gets, I'm outta here.'."

Mornin'
As I called it, I just woke up half an hour ago... I knew I'd wake up late today. And the internet has been being janky ever since, boo. I suppose I'll do some homework right now, and I'll think abuot whether or not pick Kevin up from school. Wonder how that place is now. Btw it's pretty darn hot again.

Earlier today I re-watched the second half of the movie. Boy, I missed a lot, too. It was around 9 weeks ago I tried to watch this movie the first time, geez time flies.
from the movie:
"You're ladling calculation upon comedy, the point is to keep the ball in your court."
"(You're making) an overture... make your intentions known, think of pleasing her not vexing her."
not from the movie:

Hmm maybe business students should reconsider? Study was conducted by the Standford's (go Cardinal) Graduate School of Business, so by default it's got some merrit. Oh.
Now that I've experienced (community) college, I conclude that high school rocks.

in a place that won't let us feel, in a life where nothing seems real
i have found you
in a world that's moving too fast, in a world where nothing can last
i will hold you
Hmm...
Jhermaine and I get to LPC for our 12:30 PM class, and when we arrived at the classroom there was a piece of paper that said class was canceled for the day. Haha, I guess our teacher was pulling a UCB or something. Oh well. We made a quick stop by Target, and I got myself a 2 cent Sprite. I suppose I won something under the cap, but I didn't go online yet to see what it was. That bottle is in the recycling back right now, haha. I swore to myself I'd make use of the extra time, but I did not. I sat around on my chair and did next to nothing. Bah. Eventually I left the house and went out for a half our or so drive around town. Will showed up and he, Kevin, and I went to the rec to play a little basketball. We played a game of 21 and horse, but we didn't use the word horse. I ended up getting owned on 3 shots right under the hoop and 2 half court shots. Sucks. School starts tomorrow (in ~10 hours) for all the kids still in free school, haha.
With that said, one of three things that I wish would happen (in order of wishful hope):
1) Summer break (for everyone) lasted another month.
I really wish I had that time.
2) It were sometime around March right now.
When all these good times began.
3) This was the beginning of my senior year.
I would have back three grades that should have been higher and graduate cum laude, in addition to number 2 above.

Night Blog
School school school. I hate that placed called community college. Why do they even call it that? It's farther located form homes than high school was, and other than that it's pretty barren. You certainly aren't any type of community in classes, as you sit and take notes and listen to lecture all the time. Pretty much crap. Now I know how much I miss high school. Through all the garbage that goes on in and out the class during those young times, they were golden ones. I found myself pretending to write things over and over in my notebook out of boredom and lack of attention on my part. I was released early from my last class, but any time that would have been gained (I would have liked those thirty minutes) was lost do to an accident on the freeway. Apparently one of those big semi trucks jackedknifed or something and turned over to the side. Bah, and there's nothing to do now. Homework is out of the question, by the time I got in the CS server everyone had already left, and some were just being arrogant in W3.

Street Fest
Haha a rare PM post. Today Nick, Will, Rob, Willy, and I went to Oakland Chinatown for the street festival. Parking took so too long, at least half an hour, as there was a lot of traffic and a lot of pedistrians. During the search for parking, we saw an Asian police officer give an Asian man a ticket for jaywalking. What the heck man. The cop should know how it is in Chinatown, that stuff like that just happens. The man who got ticked looked dazed and confused during and after getting his ticket, poor guy. Oh well, that's downtown for ya. After finally finding a parking spot, we walked a good four or five blocks into Chinatown where we ate at a little restaurant. Willy, Nick, and I each had enormously sized fried riced portions, while Will had porridge and Rob wonton noodle soup. It was a pretty good place, but HK style because in the beginning we were sharing a table with a single haha. We then went to Sweethart's where we all got bobas (I paid for Nick's because I kinda owed him for some things), and I realized why Willy goes there like every Sunday, haha. Oh well, whatever floats his boat. While watching a few quick dance routines at Will's interest, Athena popped up and said hi. We walked around a bit, up and down the street, visiting all the various booths and kiosks along the way. There was even a vender who was selling ooga booga sticks, yikes! Oh well. Some of us ended up buying a few nice little things, heh. Nick dropped Will off first on the way back, then after a little stop, I came home, then played a few games of CS and W3.

Boo so I forgot to blog sometime in the AM hours earlier, oops =P Let me think of what I did yesterday. Ah yes, Trish's going away party. That was pretty cool. We had self-rolled sushi and I rolled one the wrong way... I suppose that's why everything was coming out. She has one of those boxing practice things that resembles the figure of a person, so I took a few whacks at it thinking it was someone I didn't really like. Pretty soon we got a little itchy, so Nick and I threw on some gloves and boxed. As expected I got my rear handed to me =\. I guess there are weight classes for a reason. Plus the stupid reach factor. Oh well. Went out for a little bit after that, then went home to play some good ol' Warcraft Three and Counter Strike, both of which I did pretty well in. Hmm, as for today... homework or street fest?

TGIF
Again on an "off" day for me, I woke up before 12:00 PM, which is probably good because anything after that is savage anyways. I went out to lunch at Gengis Khan (sp?) with some family. Came home, and I forgot what I did for a while, but I decided to head out to New Park Mall with Rob and Will to spend some money. Will and I ended up buying some stuff from Structure (soon to be Express for men... yikes). I myself got a pair of pants, two long sleeve button shirts, and a pair of socks. Oh and since Target was connected to the mall (wow), I stopped by and picked up a 2 cent Sprite (yay, I knew they were supposed to take coupons), like I said I would. Rob wanted to stop by Tapioca Express, so we did and he got the fried cuttle fish and some sort of drink. Dude, those Tap X people in Union City charge for balls (pearls)! Ban that place! We all then went to Will's house, with Jhermaine and Nick stopping by eventually, to play games and what not. I came home, and haven't really done much. Let's see theres's a party later, homework that needs to be attended to (hahaha I haven't put effort into homework in at least five months), and as I sit on my chair looking out I feel... no just kidding, as I sit in my chair and look around, it's getting pretty cluttered in here. My room is now a mess again and my parental units have told me to clean it up. I guess I'll be doing that throughout the week.
Hahahaha with a lot of the high school students posting their schedules in their profiles, lol. High school... I wish I were there for another senior year. =\

Long Weekend, Berkeley
Ah yes, my school week is now over. No school on Fridays, baby. Heh. Today the only class I had was Family and Marriage relations (I think that's what it's called). It was basically a fatty overview of different family structures and other related stuff. We also took a quick quiz on the syllabus and then later reviewd the outline of the course. Jhermaine then went to see the transfer counselor to check up on one of his clases. It turns out the dean of that department lost all of Jhermaine's materials. How janky. Now the poor guy has to go through the whole process again. While he was trying to work out his problems, I stayed in the office and tried to sleep. Sometime later a very tall girl comes in (my height at least) and I suppose because I was the only one there, she asks for my help in looking for some information on UC Davis and what NCAA division their Woman's water polo team was. I guess because out of my kindness and I knew what I was looking for, I was able to help out. And as Jhermaine pointed, at least I was thanked for my assistence. The only bad thing of doing a little extra work... I didn't get to sleep as I had hoped. Anyways we got to leave that place known as LPC now. At my house we got some food, and pretty soon we left with Nick and Will, on our way out to Berkeley. The traffic in the evening wasn't too bad at all, which was good, especially since good ol' Nicky was driving. We met up with the Berkeley people, and found out that Willy was there, too. All of us ate the Clark Kerr DC food. It's pretty savage like in there. The salad line was long and keeping your place in line was a battle. At the hot food line, they ask you what you want and they serve it to you like it was a prison or something. *slop* I was gonna talk some smack on Cal football but then I was told that many of their jocks are housed there, haha. Oh well. They have good records with Nobel Prizes or something. We walked around a bit, and everyone eventually split up. Jhermaine, Nick, Will, and I went to Sweethart to get some pearl milk teas. We then went home. I shold mention that during both car rides to and back, they kept playing songs that I objected to, bah. Then they picked on me when I fell asleep in the car.
"Biatch."

First Day Of Instruction
For lunch yesterday my family went to Black Angus out near Regal. I had a prime rib and split a cajun chicken sandwhich with Kevin. The food there is pretty good, and not too heavy on the bank so I guess I can bring someone there sometime. After that Tom, Will, and Willy met me at Best Buy and Tom bought some stuff for his computer. We went to Costco to look around, and both Wills bought some cdrs, and everyone picked up on the free samples, whoo. Will ^2 and I then went to Target where they bought the refridgerator on ad for their dorm room. Yeah so first day of actual instruction yesterday. My psychology teacher seems really cool. Hecka spunk, upbeat, keeps it real. Class sounds fun, too. On the other hand our precalc class is boring. The teacher has beef with the chalk or something. He wrote so hard that the sucker broke in half. Poor chalk. There's really not too much to talk about these days, only school. What the heck do other people do during the days now.

Second Day @ LPC
Oh man, woke up at 10:30 AM or so, and got to school at 12:00 PM for a 12:30 PM class. The class Jhermaine and I are taking, some Family and Marriage class or something, is like 75% female, with the whole class having Jhermaine and I as the only two asians, haha. For class, we watched an episdoe of Star Trek: TNG. It was an episode on family and parenting and different issues that involve both. I vaguely remembered the episode before seeing it again today. We then got into small groups and talked about what a family is to us and stuff like that. After class, we went to Willy's house to hang out a bit. Willy had to take Spencer to the orthodontist, so while Spencer was getting his wires tightened the three of us went to Blenzers. We then went back to Willy's and we sat around a bit. Jhermaine kept trying to hack my aim password and Willy would not unlock his computer because he was watching his favorite Disney Shows. Jhermaine and I ended up watching those shows with him. When all that Disney fun was over, we headed over to Nick's house where Will and Kevin were to play a new game Will had just rented. Rob eventually joined us, and I heard they got pretty far I think. Jhermaine left first, and I left a little bit right after that. I wonder whose gonna win American Idol.

First Day @ LPC
Jhermaine got to my house at the ripe early time of 3:00 to head out to LPC. I didn't have any paper or anything to write stuff down on, so we made a quick trip to Target, where I bought six spiral notebooks at the bargain price of 15 cents, oh baby. I heard that the non-spiral ones were 37 cents last week, so I guess I missed out on that, boo. We got there around 4:30 PM, and there weren't too many cars there. We went to see the transfer counselor, and she helped out and answered some of our questions. Both of us then made SEP appointments (Student Education Plan) for sometime in September to talk about our transfer plans to Berkeley and Los Angeles, respectively, in detail. We then went to the library for fifteen minutes or so and just sat. Our first class, Brain, Mind, and Behavior started at 5:30, but the normal instructor wasn't there, so some other dude was there instead and he talked briefly on different topics in the course. It sounded like our normal teacher was really popular and cool, so that's something to look foward to. The janky thing about that class is that the guy who was in our class today was the one that put our "textbook" together. It's not even a book... it's more of a binding of all his outlines and junk that costs 50 dollars. We were let out at 6:00, half hour into class and forty give minutes early haha. That left us nothing to do, so we went to Costco to eat dinner and walk around a bit. I saw this one reallly cool thing that I wanted to buy. Hopefully in the near future, I'll have the right reason to buy it. I think it'd be really great. We then went back around 7:00, and chilled in the library a bit. We then went to our Precal class at 7:25, and it was supposed to start at 7:30 but turns out the custodian did not unlock the doors, so we waited outside for about an extra five minutes or so. That class is pretty janky, I should say. It's a friggin Chemistry class, man. Microscopes, other various scientific tools and appartuses I do not know the names to, and lab benches, three chairs per table. The teacher, we think, is a single guy. I think he's gonna be another Sousa... punk when it comes to grading and tests, but otherwise a cool guy, we'll see. He let us out early, too, about an hour or so. I gave ol' Benny a ride to the gas station, and Jhermaine and I bounced and came back to CV.
"It started smoking."

VisionTek To Be Liquidated
Article here. How does the number one card maker for NVIDIA run out of money? Weaksauce. Maybe a great battle between ATI and NVIDIA will now take place, resulting in super low prices for us consumers! Good thing I just got my VisionTek rebate like 2 weeks ago. It would have been 50 dollars I'd never seen again, phew. Dang, whose gonna warranty my video card now when it blows up from overclocking my agp slot, haha. Just kidding, stuff doesn't just "blow up."

Bah. I just overslept somewhere between 107 and 115 minutes. Doh. Instead of waking up to 'N Sync's "I Drive Myself Crazy" or "Falling" off my playlist, I woke up to either Peggy Lee's "Love" or "Just A Friend" by Mario, I can't remember anymore. Dang I even had my alarm clock set to wake me up after 30 minutes or so, too. Now I've showered late, stayed up late to write this blog, and am going to sleep late. Then I'm either going to wake up late and feel groggy all day, or I'm going to wake up at normal time (or earlier) and be lethargic. Oh well. These chain of events type things, who knows. Something you don't expect happens and pretty soon you don't know where you're going to end up. Ten more minutes and I'm going to sleep.
From various portions of the day:

"You'll have a crush on her."
"(LPC) is gonna be weaksauce."

Will and I went today to help and visit some friends. That place is alright, and most people are pretty cool. There's just too many darn hills, though.... especially with the hills. Because I really don't feel like thinking about what happened right now, hop on over to Will's blog to read up. We left around 5:45 or so, and got back to CV around 6:10 or so. I then went to Will's house for a while, laid around and didn't really do much... I left his place around 7:00. Around 8:45 or so I went to Nick's house, then got home a bit after 9:00. Good luck to all those going to Cal. Someone told me that school for me starts tomorrow, then I was told class isn't until 5:30 PM. I wasn't thinking about any of it, so I didn't even realize. Oh well. One more thing, it's getting really cold these days, bah.
nsx019 (11:04:53 PM): this one asain girl, kinda reminded me of (removed)

it isn't easy hearing what they say,
sometimes you got to, take a leap of faith
It's Saturday, Oooh Oooh
Haha for once I'll be blogging before 12:00 AM. I woke up early at 10:30 AM, so I got ~6 hours of sleep. I went out to lunch with my family out in Dublin, then went to the mall. There was some stuff that I could have bought, but I decided against it. I saw EZ at the mall, so we informally set up a match sometime between him and his brother versus my brother and I for Warcraft Three haha. Oh I heard that some of my guys were at the mall too, and that someone was looking for me haha, but I didn't see any of them. I came home, and right about then I got a call from the guys and pretty soon we were on 880 south going to Milpitas. There we ate at some place that was a bakery and restaurant, and it was pretty good. We then went to Fantasia to get some real pearl milk tea. You know, what the heck with Tapioca Express charging for "balls" (pearls). Both places had signs saying $2.50, but one was $2.71 while the other place was $3.04 or something. Weaksauce and a half. A quick trip to Fry's was next, and Jhermaine got two of those neato bright key chain light things that are in now or something. Before going to Will's house, we dropped Tom off at his house, and I carried a Target-bought shelf thing into his house that had a team lift sticker, but no one helped me =\. We then went to Will's house, and I played a game of Inside Drive 2002, and won. The others then played some other game that reminded me of an older Sega game. I left a little earlier than everyone to get my first haircut since one week before prom haha. Today was also the first time I've shaved in a while too, lol. Oh well. I think tomorrow I'll be going out to Berkeley to help some friends move into dorms and stuff, heh. As for me, it's the last day of "freedom" before I myself must return back to books and classes, yay.

maybe i will... some other day
A Day Of Farewell
Woke up a tad early at 11:00 AM or so. Ate a little lunch, headed out to the Tri Valley with Rob and Jhermaine. We first went to LPC to get some books and crap, and I ended up spending ~$260 on four books, three of them new. Crap with no used books. What a ripoff. That plus whatever books I need for English, bah. We then went to Target, and I got my check and bought some school supplies. Made a quick detour to say hi to Flora, then left. We then went to Popeye's where Jhermaine and Rob ate some food, but Jhermaine got pissed because the person behind the counter would not give him any honey mustard sauce. Got home aroudn 2:30ish, and sat around a bit. I called in about my car around 3:00, and got it at 3:45. By now time was pressing and we really needed to leave for dinner, haha. I picked up Willy, Rob, and Nick and headed out toward the city (SF). The ride was pretty interesting, with Willy barking at my driving abilities. The Bay Bridge was pretty darn packed, but luckily we saved like 20 minutes because we had a carpool going, haha. We actually got to the city pretty early, around 5:15, but since I'm asian I made laps around the block like mad trying to get myself a free spot on the sidewalk. I ended up parking in a five dollar lot next to Tom's car anyways, haha. We ended up joining the others at the table around 5:40.
We were at a place called Buca di Beppo. It's a nice Italian place, with hecka decorations. Many assorted paintings and pictures on the walls of the restaurant and in the bathrooms, haha. At the end of the stairs going down, and on the right, there's a fatty bread station where bread is literally stacked up upon each other... I really wanted to ask if I could take one home or something, but you know me when it comes to asking for something I want. The food was really good, and actually filling. Many assorted pastas and the like, and a super-flat pizza. There was also a meatball the size of someone's fist. We finished eating, and made our way to Yuerba Buena Park. That place is great. It featured a carousel (merry go round!), which unfortunately you have to pay for, so I decided to save that for later (more on that in a bit), slides, a little sandbox, grasspatches and other little fun things. It was a good time there, going down slides and stuff. Before we left, Rob and I decided that we would both again return there (seperately, of course) sometime. Ride the carousel, get a blanket and lie on the patches of grass, all with an unobstructed view of the sky. Oh boy oh boy, I can hardly wait (I can wait a long time, if needed). We then left that little cool park, and all went back to our cars to go back to CV. It was decided to meet at CV Bart, so when we got there we just waited for everyone else. As soon as everyone got there, we went down to Tapioca Express for some drinks and stuff. I took Mare, Alex, and Nick. After some time spent there, we went to Chris Wong's house to hang out. Alex and I spent some time online, and that was pretty much that. UCB basically starts Sunday, LPC starts Monday, I can hardly wait. I'm looking forward to it, actually. This is the perfect excuse I need to hopefully set priorities straight again (thought I will resent and resist). Or, perhaps, it wont be.
The early rounds of our little Warcraft Three tourney has been completed. Seeds are now out for the next round, and the losers bracket is basically set. Too bad division two had to jack things up a bit.
I really should buy a 50 cent notepad from Target (if we have one) and write some quotes down...
nsx019 (1:45:54 AM): well have dinner with whoever you think should be present
nsx019 (1:46:02 AM): settle things like adults
Good idea, but it's not a business deal man, this idea wouldn't apply here.
then...
"just box it out."
but he realizes:
nsx019 (1:46:41 AM): but you know i just thought aobut it, boxing isn't the way to go
Duh, it would serve no purpose but to amass more problems.
"You should pay me, I'm helping you out."
Hahaha. Gee, I thought you were just helping me cuz we're friends like that. =\
"He's just a hapless victim."
"We got into an argument, and broke up."
Oh?! I wasn't aware there was something to start with.
I could have slept like at least 1.5 hours ago, but I did not. I thought nights like this were a thing of the past.

some people tell me that you're not my kind
and i believe them, but i can't get you out of my mind
The Salt Mine
I just wrote a fatty paragraph and lost it so bah. Another Target day. The day was nice, effulgent and all, peaceful. I walk in 12:00, exactly, expecting a wonderful day. I check lane assignments, boy oh boy I'm on a roll. Lane 11 baby, and by now I was getting a little pissed. I get the short end of the stick a few too often. I was scheduled to work 12:00 - 5:30 PM, and no way I wanted to work that long that far down the lanes. I go to my immediate supervisor and ask her that in return for my hours (since it's outside my "availability") that she move me down closer to the civilized side of the store. I explain to her my reasoning, and she ends up not believing me or something. Rob wasn't much help either, too (but at least he was keeping it "real"). She refuses and tells me to get back on my lane, not giving me the closer lane or letting me leave early (she later did let me leave early, perhaps out of pity... jeez I hate that, I don't want anyone's pity). I was getting pretty mad by then, my fist met the counter a good five or six times. Janky if you ask me. However, thinking on it, I guess I wasn't that mad. Perhaps just a little flustered and embarrassed (not toward the boss though... pfft). I just don't like the idea of getting hated on, and at the same time with it holding me down. Bah. Will came in (again), and bought some stuff. EZ and his girl also came in, always cool hollering at him. It turns out Matt took the last Vanilla Coke in the store. Punk! By doing so he disapointed at least three people. I get home, and don't end up doing much of anything (as usual). Played another Warcraft Three tourney game, and though close, end up losing. Kenji, Willy, Kevin, and I played a great game earlier, which could be considered epic by some. I'm now deciding whether or not I will head to the city early or just go for the dinner later today. Today I had 1.5 Cokes and a Snickers Crunch bar, ouch^2. By the way, the shaving gel felt like icing off a cake or something. It smelled nice, too.
One reason I'm looking forward to school is that I get to tote this sucker around heh.
I found these on my car the other day. Man, with a napkin... a friggin napkin. How janky. What am I gonna do with it? Blow my nose? Get out. The business card on the botom I discovered in the Target parking lot. I do not believe these were the usual good ol' Dublin prevailing winds though. Someone put that sucker there. The thing is, the person's whose name is on the card is hardly pronounceable, so if I ever need to call that bank I wouldn't be able to talk to that one person. As for the content, I really don't know. It's not funny anymore though, that's for sure. I wonder who the culprit is.

lately it feels like i'm going crazy
10:30 - 3:30 at a place called Target yesterday. Oh boy oh boy! Noooot. If it weren't for all the trainees (who for some reason they stuck on busy lanes), I would have drawn a high number with work again. Relatively the same as everyother work day, not exciting much. I was sent to food avenue on at least a few occasions. I got to make hot dogs and ice cream! I must be moving up or something. I also covered a lunch out in camera and sound. Work work, that's what it is. While standing around I glanced over at Bride's. An older lady who works there asked jokingly if I was getting married haha. Later on I actually grabbed the magazine and started looking through it. Dang that sucker is fat, and guess what... it's like 90 percent ads in there. Six dollars to look at pictures basically. But I have to admit, there are some glamorous dresses in there. Flora and Jon came in and bought some stuff, along with a Coke, paid for with an abnormally big coupon haha. Went over to Nick's house to watch American Idol, and a baseball game between the Reds and Diamondbacks. In that game, the Reds' pitcher threw knuckleballs, and in the first inning the catcher gave up like 4 passed balls and couldn't catch a lot more haha. Weak. Played a game of Warcraft Three, got a win (see below), and spec'd a few other games. Good games between Willy and Kevin, and Pres and Johnny. Not much more. Later I work until 5:30, the latest I will have worked for my own shift since last summer. If all goes well, I will stay for the whole shift. If not (there's a chance), I'm leaving at 4:00. Till then, bye for now.

Eventful Day
Woke up very early at 9:30 AM. Dang that's two mornings in a row. I picked up my car (see post below), got home, and went back out to get some Togos. Went to work a tad early (actually for just no other reason than to show up on time), for a 12:00 PM - 4:00 shift. Again I drew a high number with lane 12, wtheck man. Manual labor or something. Efficiency is definately not rewarded. Oh well, I slaved around for my usual four hours or something. I was helping a lady by holding the cart while she lifted some storage containers, but she ends up dropping the things on my finger, so that kinda smarted. Before that, the metal plate that holds the phone stabbed me on my other hand, and I needed a band-aid. Man, what a bad start to a day... in addition to the car deal, lack of sleep, and a few other things, and you have an aggitated Jerry =\. Dang, third person now. I went to Las Positas after Target, getting there around 5:15 PM. I was going to get a book or two, but I didn't have a form of payment at the time haha. So no books for me. As soon as I came home, I went to Nick's house, but when I got there I learned that they went to Will's house. On the way to Will's I saw Robbie, so I went over to his house for a bit to check out his new front side body kit and corbeau seats. There we watched two movies, the former being The New Guy. It proved to be pretty dumb, but funny I suppose. The movie was about a guy who was a loser at one school then transfers to another school and becomes popular, thanks to a prison term. The movie features Eliza Dushku prancing around (remember the shopping scene?), so nuff said. The second movie we saw was I Am Sam. Great performances by the actors, and the plot was alright, but I feel as the ending was a little on the weak side. Oh well. I left Will's and got home around 2:00 AM. On the way up the hill in Palomares I was right behind a car that I think grazed the side of a deer. Stupid deer, and stupid driver. As I pulled into my driveway, I saw two deer in our porch area eating plants or something. I got to watch them for about thirty seconds or so. Boy, was that a magnificent sight. I wish I had my camera. "Precious" it was, as someone I know would say.

Someone Tell Me To Sleep Earlier
I guess it doesn't really matter what time I wake up in the morning, because I'm generally still sleep around the same time. Anyways nothing happened during the day yesterday, except taking a nap. As for the evening, I went over to Carol's house where we again played Trivial Pursuit. The teams were Nick, Mare, Will and I vs. Carol, Rob, Wendy, and Trish. We ended up winning but really won twice, don't ask how. Many a people filed in and out of the house throughtout the night, and I ended up getting home around 10:30 PM. I gotta wake up in 5 hours and get my car, so I'll be sleeping now. Also, on another, I suppose some people just get the wrong idea of others. Mr. Yan is generally a swell guy, who like most guys just knows his personal tastes. Sorry if you don't fit it.

Starf Of Week
Woke up at an early hour of 10:30 AM or so yesterday, and I didn't even have to work. Since then I've been working on < 5 hours sleep. Crazy man, pure crazy. Kevin has passed out numerous times already. If you check the newest directory in my gallery, you will see some pictures of him passed out haha. Anyways we went to Fremont to eat some of that inexpensive dim sum, but we had to wait something like 30 minutes before being seated. Asian peole are just savage about these sort of things. A little bit into waiting I see Gerald and his family there, so that was something kinda new. We then headed over to the mall, just to walk around. While strolling around Macys I saw Jon Levy and his girlfriend Liz so we chatted a bit before parting. I spent maybe an hour at the mall, but I didn't buy anything. I think I'm finding that place uninteresting anymore, on more than one front. There were a few things I would have liked to buy, but nothing really that said "buy me." Also it's kind of boring seeing the same thing over and over, if you catch my drift. Not very impressive anymore when everything is but a facsimile. Nothing really after getting home. No sports on tv at all, boo. Sat in my sorry chair, looked at a similar screen that's sitting in front of you and played a few games, the weaksauce. I was supposed to get a haircut, but that didn't happen so I suppose I'll be living with this fro for another week. My hair has not been this long since 1st semester of frosh year. Yikes! Flora said something earlier about it being 12:00 AM and I realized that school for my sorry rump starts in exactly one week. Sucks too because summer's almost over. I'm not completely through with attempting what I said I was going to do back in early May. If you saw "The Letterman Show" featuring me, Jhermaine, Nick, and Chester, you'll know what I'm talking about (it was the last subject I talked about). By the time the month is out, it's all over. Aycheewawa! I now need to sleep, because I have to take my car back to the auto shop at 8:00 AM because they messed up on the paint job. I will now be car-less for a one day period. Those morons. Good night.
Two things someone said Saturday night seemed to have stuck with me. I might have just experienced an epiphany. Not quite a revelation, but perhaps in due time. I do hope I'm not being inane about everything.

Chester's BBQ
Ah yes, Chester's traditional bbq party. Third annual. Kevin and I left around 4:30 PM or so, and I ended up dropping him off first because I had to get some other things, like a Cherry Coke for one. I showed up, and we sat around a while and chatted while waiting for some others. We started up the charcoal pile around 6:30 and away we went. The food, as usual over there at the Chan household was good stuff. Pork strips, ribs, and chicken were just part of the menu. Good food and great company lasted a good six hours or so. During the time we talked about many a thing, such as going off to college, weird high school students (and the not weird ones), and what everyone is, will, or should be doing with their lives, future and currently. As always, def jam comedy session was included for some great laughs and what not, but again I proved to be the comedy =\. At one period the guys wanted to check out Nick's new stereo deck so we went outside. Since I've already seen it I found myself star gazing again, and no, not to find a star to name (in a movie I just saw). When everyone was full of food, we went inside where we watched some tv and played some Pictionary haha. My team ended up losing because 1) we were stuck on all play forever and 2) I can't draw worth crap haha. Oh well. Overall a fun, fun night. Mostly everyone was there. I look foward to next year. Happy bday man.

Evening Out
Willy asked me to go out to Dublin/Pleasanton earlier this evening. Basically his brother Spencer bought some movie tickets online, but you need the credit card to pick up the tickets, so Willy had to go out and pick up n deliver them. Turns out you don't need identification to pick up tickets, haha. While at the movie theaters, I made observations about how girls dress these days.*sigh* Anyways Willy said something like "wt girl's can't any shorters longer than that, what do you expect." too bad. We then went to Best Buy, then Stoneridge mall and Todai to give Spencer his crap. A short visit to Mizouse we paid, and thanks a bunch for the food man. We walked around a bit, then went to Target. My third time in one day haha. Sheez. Willy got himself some sort of Coke, and I got a Vanilla Coke for Kevin to try. I think I bought / gave away a total of three cokes today haha. I then came home and watched the A's great game over those stupid Yankees. What a great, long extra inning game. I then saw Barry Bonds hit his 600th homerun live... on tv haha. Oh well nice shot. Now I'm chilling here not doing much. Hmm, hopefully I don't fall asleep again.

A Walk To Remember
I just finished the movie. The first half was iffy, at best. The second half (by that I mean cd haha) was better. The movie itself was okay, though. I feel as if the story went by a little too fast, like scenes went by too quicky. The character development in the male protagonist was pretty good at least. However, the movie is only semi-close to the book, which I now think is a better story. Too bad I didn't read the book a long time ago before I had an image of who the characters were (from the movie) =\.

Hmm What Happened?
I'll just blog now while I'm printing out the goody coke super-coupon haha. I think I fell asleep numerous times last night or something. Oh well I guess that's what happens. I had to work again yesterday, and again it was pretty boring I suppose. Highlight of my shift was a visit from Flora, but she also made me a few cents poorer =\. Hehe oh well my pleasure. I went home, but saw Will's and Tom's car outside of Nick's house, so I caught them right before they left to go out to Circuit City where Nick went to look at car stereo decks. He already got his, so I'm going now to meet him to keep the mofo company or something. Before that however we went to 24 hour fitness where Tom signed up for three year membership. Nick snuck during that time, so I worked out the arms a bit with Will before heading out. Bye for now.

More Work
3 of 4 days complete. I'm amazed at how some days at work are too short while other's drag on forever. Today was one of the latter. Interesting aspect of relativity, I suppose. I checked my cashier speed the other day, and it was the same high score as last week, boo. Oh well, it's Flora's fault anyways =P. It was discovered that the now infamous coupon for a two cent Coca-Cola works hehe. Two cent cokes for the rest of the year! Yay! After a boring, slow, and non-superfun day, Nick, Will, and I went to the mall for a bit. We then went to Nick's house to watch Tuesday's American Idol haha. Big band, baby. Does anyone know a station that plays big band around here? I know of 91.1 but that's more jazzy and slow. If you know something please lemme know. We, along with Tom, Chester, and Kevin then went to play some basketball, something we haven't done in a while. Boy was it a pretty ugly game for me haha. Missed a lot of short range layups and stuff that should be automatic, and I missed a lot of jumpshots that I'm supposed to have down by now. Oh well, exercise, I suppose. Since fishing has been postponed, one more day of work this week, we'll see how it goes. Perhaps boring and slow like yesterday, but at some point it should be all downhill baby. I hope so.

I Believe I Can Fly
Work work work 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM yesterday (lol the easy schedule). Yet again I drew the high number, with lane 14. Jeez. I suppose efficiency is not rewarded there. Strange thing occured today; a mom complained about Lord of the Rings being played on our little tv set next to the front lanes. She complained about it being a PG-13 movie with violence and stuff in it or something. I remember her saying something like Target should be like a Disneyland. Woman, you pay 40 dollars to get into Disneyland, while you can freely enjoy the air conditioning and heater (when they're working) at Target. Hello, Disneyland's is the "happiest place on earth", with some truth I suppose. Target, where you can "expect more, pay less." or some garbage like that. The woman even took the liberty of ejecting the tape for us haha. After she left, it was put back in the vcr and played. Oh. I suppose luck is in the air (LOL), as Flora has been working for like a month and she win's the team card drawing, with some good luck from me, of course. I've been working there for a year and I have not won jack squat =\. After work some of us went to Best Buy, and I got my price match for Warcraft Three. Whoo now I paid 45 dollars for the game! Gareth ended up dropping half a g on a subwoofer system, but it sounds sweet so all is well. During the night, we went ice skating out in Dublin. It's been a while, but it was still fun. I can say that I did not "sail on my butt a lot" and that I never left my feet. The same can't be said for Nick though, haha. Simply put, with slight modesty, I own the ice. We then went to Foster's Freeze for some snacking.
I guess I fell asleep earlier tonight while listening to a nice little section of my playlist consisting of some R&B and slow pop. I overslept by 55 minutes and change in seconds. That is time I could have been sleeping.
Nevermind recon, if you want to know something about someone, just ask them.

if love is a crime babe,
punish me, i would die for you
Monday
I woke up yesterday at 6:38 AM to a dream, and since I slept at 3:00 AM or so, that means it was sometime after my second REM cycle. I told myself I would remember what I dreamed about, but to misfortunate, I did not. Sucks too because I spent 5 minutes or so thinking about the dream right after I woke up. Maybe it will come back to me again. All I can remember is that it was a bad dream though. I worked from 10:30 AM - 2:30 PM. Lucky me, I drew the high number again in lanes with lane 12. Yay! (sarcasm) Nothing too eventful, Megan stopped by to buy something, and it was nice seeing her again. A woman came in and bought sixty one (61) pairs of shoes and like 8 shirts. That's a lot of shoes! Everything was on clearance. Wholy heck. All those shoes and shirts, it was like two cartfulls of crap. The total came out to like $230 dollars. Four big bags of boxless shoes, ouch. Anyways after that was over with, I left the front lanes, did a few little things, and prepared to leave. Eventually I came home, took a slight nap (if you can even call it that) and basically did nothing but do some spacing out. Oh well. I think I should start blogging earlier because I swear I'm forgetting a lot of good things I want to share.

Moment of silence please for the Lakers's play-by-play man Chick Hearn. What a great guy he was.

her eyes, her smile, her skin, her smell, her hair
she's incredible baby
her walk, her talk, her way her savoir faire
there she goes, spending all my time watching that girl go
Work Work
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM shift yesterday. Because I'm so motivated and grateful towards Target I asked to stay an hour later till 4:00 [sarcasm]. It was alright. They didn't assign lanes, so that was a great bonus. I chose the lane with the table scanner that didn't work, probably because I wanted a challenge or something [sarcasm yet again]. Pretty busy day I suppose, but, oh well! Red and khaki the rest of the weak it looks like =\. Turns out that I did indeed blow the power supply unit in my case. I'm now running on a 235 (or 215, I forget) watt unit borrowed from Brian. If I can't pick up on a free one somewhere pretty soon I'll just buy a damn case or something. I burned off A Walk To Remember, so I'm really really close to watching it! Oh I can't wait. The suspense.
Choios (2:20:10 AM): tis a shame... tis a shame indeed

So, Like, Uhm
Hey so yesterday was Jelli's belated birthday / going away party. I got there around 6:45 PM. along with Nick, Willy, and Jhermaine. The night throughout was pretty cool, I suppose. Nice time hanging with amigos, eating food, stuff like that. As expected the night was filled with comedy talk, not so comedy talk, and some other stuff that's been floating around lately. I ended up leaving around 12:30 AM with Chris P, Willy, and Rob. I really don't know what else to say. Things aren't coming easily anymore. My mind gets confused now. Who knows, maybe it's the dog days of August. Or not. We'll see.
"I know how it is."
"It's like a sale at the mall."
or "It's like shopping for a new car"
"This is the drama table."
"It's a good idea if you can handle it."
Why am I having issues with sleeping now? I went to bed at 3:00 AM last night, but I swear I was still awake to see 4:00 AM on the clock. Goodnight.

Friday!!!
Well let us see what went on yesterday. I woke up really early, like around 7:30 AM. I slept at 2:00 AM. No way in heck was I going to get out of bed at that time though, so I suppose I fell in and out of sleep all the way until 1:00 PM, when I finally got out of bed. I made myself some lunch, sat around a bit, and before I knew it, it was time to get ready for rehearsal. During the drive out to Neighborhood Church, I was driving and noticed an ambulance right behind me. Then out of no where, the lights on that sucker start flashing. Doh! Move to the right, and let that sucker pass. It did, however clear traffic, so everyone just started "following" it I suppose. Well, another miracle happened yesterday (no, not the big one I've been hoping for), I was on time again! I made the 5:30 PM deadline haha. I guess it's time to be proud of myself. No, not really. Pre-concert stuff included warming up, standing around, and basically hanging out. The concert itself went well. There weren't too many mistakes, I don't think. It was just really great getting to perform and share all the stuff we've learned and been practicing the past few weeks. As with tradition, we went to Carrow's after the concert. The people at the restaurant refused to put everyone on seperate checks, so we ended up with a 2 foot long receipt. The evening was good, I think. The food was decent, but I can't remember at all what I ate. Jhermaine was being cynically amousing, again. Quite the character he is. Oh wait, that just sounded really familier. I don't really know. Not much of anything comes clear anymore. Maybe it's the shortened sleep, maybe it's something else. I left with mostly everyone else at 12:00 AM. Darn, I could have sworn I had some more stuff to say.
I don't know how nor why, but before I got here and started blogging, I just layed awake in my bed for the last two hours doing next to nothing. Weird.
"He takes 30 minutes there, you take 10 minutes here, I'm just here chillen, trying to get out of here."
"These aren't the morals that I'm putting into you, are they?"
"Jerry, trying to be smooth? That's a good one."
"I'm delirious."
"I know I'm probably just setting myself up again. What the hell was I thinking?"
There were a lot more, but I seemed to have forgotten them.

Last Two Days
I'm going to have to make this kinda quick while my brother's eating lunch haha.
Wednesday Wednesday Wednesday. I remember being forced to sleep on the floor, because there were only three couches, and all three bigger guys (Nick, Kevin, Gerald) beat me out for them. Oh well, I made it work somehow. We finally played our 5vs5 Counter Strike game, and yes, our team won. I think the team was me, Ken, Nick, Gerald, and Willy. 13-8 or 7 I think the score was. Whoot. After that we played a little more CS, and Warcraft Three I think. We played a 4vs3 game (I was the 4) but I think we ended up losing anyways. Noobs. Sooner or later 3:30 PM came up, and I was getting itchy about whether or not I should run to rehearsals. I did not. 3:50 came around and I was practically begging anyone to give me a ride, to no avail. Everyone ended up leaving around 4:10, and again my sorry ass was late. Friggin. Rehearsals that day was pretty much the same, except there was the cast party after. Pretty nice, good food (kinda... tried the pesto pizza), and got to hang out. Sometime during the time, I went to the baseball field to watch some kids hit balls at each other. What a time for contemplation and reflection at the same time. My thoughts were interrupted at the sound of little kids on bikes making fun of chinese people the way that little kids do. I suppose some things don't change in time after all. It took us really about 40 minutes to leave after the original thought of leaving was brought up, which was pretty funny. However, just to be fair to everyone, we just stayed and let the time pass. Willy was being really funny with all his quotes in a period of about 5 minutes. We finally got finished with staying, so we all went back to Jhermaine's for the conclusion of the LAN. We played the usual games, and I ran between games to watch American Idol, where the Ryan Starr chick got kicked off. =\. Ghost Recon was then the next game. It was hecka tite, but sucked at the same time. It's pretty much hard because you die in one shot, and if you don't die, you're "wounded" and you basically crawl around at snail speed. Since people shoot you from miles away it seems, my face was right up against my monitor trying to see where they were haha. I pretty much was one of the first people to die, and I ended two missions prematurely for us. In one mission, I shot some civilians and one of the directives was not to shoot them haha. Another one, there was a house with some baddies in it, and I armed my grenades and I tried to toss it into a window, but I ended up bouncing it off the house and the explosion killed everyone but two people on my team (like 6 people haha). That was pretty funny. Fire in the hole!!! We ended up leaving around 11:00 PM. Now my computer doesn't work at home. I do not understand it. This crap always happens to me. It was working when I turned it off at Jhermaine's house, but it doesn't work here. What the heck! I didn't even do anything to it either. Weaksauce. I have no idea what the problem is either. Anyways, much thanks out go out to Jhermaine and his parents for letting us use his house, burn some electricity, and eat their wonderful food. Her mom made a lot of food for us, and it was really appreciated.
Yesterday. Woke up at 9:30 AM because I had to work. I showed up at 10:30 AM, but I didn't start till 11:00 AM haha so I ended up working more than I had to. It was the same ol same ol I suppose. They wanted to put me on aisle 14 or something, but I was able to talk them into giviving me aisle 2. At one time they put me back into food avenue so I was there for a few minutes. Boy it's hot in there. While I Was putting a few carts back, I saw something green on the floor. It turned out to be money! Exactly twenty one dollars, a twenty and a one. I picked it up, and put it in my drawer for 1 minute. I then decided to give it over to Target. Yes, I gave back the money. If I kept the money, I could have had an eight hour work day at Target, but I didn't. Oh well. I left to go to dress rehearsals around 6:00 PM, which I still feel kind of bad because I wanted to be there at 6:00, even though the actual thing started at 6:30. I ended up getting there around 6:20 due to some mad traffic on the boulevard. Mare then wanted to drive my car, again. First she backed up but the e-brake was still up, so that wasn't too good. Then, while she was making laps in the back, she almost rammed the car into another moving car because she was going against one way traffic. Later the other car then came around and stopped in front of us, but I guess since a woman was driving my car (and a pretty one at that) he let us go without beating my ass. The rehearsal went well, I suppose. Mostly everything that was needed to be done was done.. Some people went to Tapioca Express, I just went home, to my computer-less state. I got in some time with the psych book.
