Tell Me About It
For those of you who don't know, I read the newspaper pretty much every day. This includes the advice columns. One such columnist I regularly read is Carolyn Hax, who writes "Tell Me About It" three times a week. I particularly enjoy reading pieces that show how crazy women are.
Dear Carolyn: My fiance and I are both 24, and have been together since our freshman year of college. We've been apart since graduation two years ago, but have maintained our relationship through daily phone calls and frequent visits. The wedding is set for June, but I'm having doubts that won't go away. I live in a decent-size city, she lives in a smaller city, and she has a problem with how much I go out. She's flat-out told me, "Just so you know, that ends when we get married." She nags me, she begrudges me my fun, and it's helped fuel my doubts about what our marriage will be like. When I told her about my concerns, she apologized, and admitted she was just jealous of my social opportunities and was taking it out on me.
I told her I was thinking about postponing the wedding so we could see how we'd balance jobs, social lives, and each other in the same city. She thought about it, and then told me I either marry her in June or never, because if I'm not sure now, I may never be sure. I don't think that's fair, but I'm sure she doesn't think what I've asked is fair, either.

(3:30:27 PM): haha that fiance should run like hell
Go Cards!
World Series is now tied one game each. I'm going to go with St. Louis, because I just don't like Detroit.
Saw Flags of Our Fathers the other day. Battle scenes were cool, but there was something missing sometimes. Overall it was okay, but not on the same level as great contemporary war movies such as Saving Private Ryan or Black Hawk Down. Still loving women's hairstyles from the 40's and 50's.
Hit a few golf balls and did a little better than last week. There were two girls receiving instruction that looked pretty good from far.
Didn't really do much else over the weekend except watch and catch up with TV. Worked on some Photoshop and InDesign stuff, which is actually kind of fun.
This article here talks about a study which basically says if you tell a broad she's dumb, she'll believe it. Oh.
Check out the trailer for the movie 300. It's based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller, who gave us the awesome and visually appealing Sin City. Movie is about the Battle of Thermopylae. Do yourself a favor and read some history.
The very tasty Kaley Cuoco, who we first met in 8 Simple Rules and more recently Charmed, looking like a rockstar.
I understand your difficulty with the English language. Thanks to classes in psychology, I now know that a person "automatically" disregards sounds not used in their native language. This is why, for example, your L's and R's are fucked up. Not too long ago I, along with my peers, were basically forced to learn another language. This makes me familier with the frustration and dread that may occur during the learning process. However, as a new (hopefully legal) member of this country, I have to ask that you improve your English skills. It would make it easier for both you and I if I didn't have to ask you to repeat yourself every other sentence. Therefore, I am proposing the following guidelines for your endeavor:
1) If you are under the age of 40 and have been living here for at least ten years, your goal is to speak in a coherent, grammatically correct manner. A slight accent is acceptable; as long as your enunciation is mostly proper we will be okay.
2) If you are a college student or younger, your goal is to speak perfect English within five years. Get an accent tutor and practice. There is no reason why you shouldn't sound like you were born here if you try hard enough.
I know for a fact it is possible to speak perfect English if you are not a native speaker. Just put in the work and you will see the results. This way, when everyone laughs at a joke the professor makes, your friend who is trying harder than you at learning English doesn't have to translate and explain it to you.
Thank you for your time.

The more attractive Hilton sister. I would trade Sosage for this one.
Later, Zito
A's got swept in the ALCS. Jesus Christ. With using Street in the 7th inning. I'm okay with any NL team winning the WS. I will enjoy watching Zito as a Yankee next year.
Today I had Jamba Juice for lunch. The dude jacked me about 1 inch worth of Jamba, but I guess it was okay since they were also sampling their bread.
Last night I studied until a bit past 4:00 a.m. Of course I started at midnight, and took a one our break somewhere in between, haha. Every time I study shit for a test I'm always surprised at how much it actually helps. This time was no different. Damn me for being able to pass almost any non-technical test.
And now time for a break...
I swear Photoshop and the airbrush will be the end of me.
Hit some golf balls over the weekend. Although I bounched a few balls off the back fence, I didn't do as well as I wanted to. Also saw The Departed. Good movie. Owes a lot to the original chongman version, but I still enjoyed every bit of it. Lots of swearing, blood, shooting, and racist jokes. No qualms whatsoever. Only problem I might of had was the chick wasn't exactly super well known like the male leads. Okay and she wasn't on the same level of attractiveness as her male leads, either. Oh and afterwards while walking out I heard a kid mentioning to his mom "there were too many bad guys" in the movie. I turned around and the kid was like 9 or 10 years old. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING BRINGING YOUR KID TO THIS MOVIE?!?! Jesus Christ.
What About Brian is back on tv. It was the only show ABC renewed from last season. It's about a group of friends who are all more or less paired off except for one. Oh and Sarah Lancaster is gorgeous, especially as a brunette.
Another show that's back is Smallville. So far it's been pretty entertaining. Some very generous caps of a movie Erica Durance is in can be found at egotastic.com.
Another relationship has been shat on due to long distance issues. These things are like the cops; always there when you don't want them but never there when they're needed. In this case, whenever we want one to work out, it fails, but whenever we want one to fall apart, it remains intact. Damn the way this world works.
Finally found a freaking NVIDIA driver that works with Vista, but AERO isn't working because everything is a piece of shit right now.
Willy Does Drink
He gets apple red after the first one. Lol!
Went to the MSFT sponsored Silicon Valley Code Camp for the Vista install fair yesterday. Basically hung out in a room with a bunch of uber nerds while upgrading from XP Pro to Vista RC2.
There was only one girl there, but she was pretty decent at least. Every time she leaned back against her chair I'd get a great look at her b cups. Women are dumb. Sure, their tops might cover up when looking in the mirror, but the top-down view is never anticipated. Lucky me. Wiz and I debated whether or not she was the dude's sister vs. gf. I figured gf because no sister would put up with 3+ hours of computer boshet.
Ate dinner at a place called Sonoma Chicken Coop in downtown Campbell with Wiz, Willy, and Willy's friends Louis (sp?) and Christine (sp?). Had a "Chicken & Prawns Picatta" which was okay. Not a big fan of the quick-order style of preparing food there. A group of kids having a high school formal (homecoming, I'm guessing) ate dinner there. Didn't see too many hotties, but no real losers either.
Thanks to HP for finding this pic, haha.
Afterwards went to BJ's in Cupertino for snacks and beer. Split a pitcher of Jeremiah Red Ale that was kind of tasty. It was kind of busy there and the complimentary valet parking took a while. I guess there is a certain novelty to the place, since there are only two BJ's in the bay area, I think (whereas it's pretty widespread down in socal). At least there aren't any Yard House Restaurants up here; I would protest.
After that went to TGI Friday's, which was one exit down the freeway, for cocktails. Willy's friend Edith (sp?) joined us. I had some sort of berry margarita that was a little too weak. Willy got owned by the Jack & Coke. I'm pretty sure now TGI Friday's trains its bartenders backwards on it's J&C's, with 2:1 Jack to Coke. The waitress/bartender we had was a cute 24-25 y/o brunette. She also had some great c's underneath her tight fitting polo. Yum. Came home and basically passed out. Thanks Willy for driving and the invite.
Charlize Theron
Since I've no idea how much blogger minds about hosting pictures, it's time to abuse until you lose picture privilege!
Turns out that you, my Doctor-With-the-Most-Fabulous-Ass, will be the very same doctor who will shove a camera up mine. As I am a fan of backdoor fun - mind you, only infrequently and on special occasions - I am chagrined to admit that I fear my upcoming meeting with you again. The camera is *gasp* the size of a grown man's pinkie finger and dare I speculate that the initial thrust might cause me to cry out your name in ecstasy?!
I shall endeavor not to come. But just in case, throw me a double-barreled shot of that crap that's supposed to knock my ass out and cause temporary amnesia because I sure as hell don't want to remember acting like a porn star while I'm being violated for medical reasons.
My name is Jerry and I'm wondering where I can find this type of women. Thanks to the retardedman for the link.
Tejada!
The A's made it to the ALCS. First time in 16 years. Chavez finally did something with the bat other than looking like a faerie waving it around in his stance. Bring on the Yanks, oh.
Battlestar Galactica premiered tonight. The third season kicks off with New Caprica under Cylon occupation. Check it out sometime. If you can get beyond the sci-fi premise, this is actually a pretty good show. Oh, and attractive women never hurt anyone.
New Shows Studio 60: Love this show. It's a dramatic behind-the-scenes look at a late-night variety show. Plus all the female leads are hot, especially Amanda Peet, who has that brunette + blue eye combo I'm a sucker for. Monday's at 10 on NBC.
Standoff: An elite FBI negotiating tandem that not only beats the bad guys but find time to hump. Tuesday's at 8 on FOX.
Brothers & Sisters: A family with six siblings who have their own lives who have to deal with each other and their own problems. A lot of potential here. Sunday's at 10 on ABC.
Six Degrees: Interesting look how six Manhattanite strangers are somehow related to each other through their actions. Again, we are blessed with a hottie lead, Bridget Moynahan. Darn that Tom Brady. Thursday's at 10 on ABC.
