Frenemies and pals, hello. Allow me to update you on what has been going on. More or less.

The other day I got a text message at 11:30 in the morning. I think I was half awake and dreaming still because while reaching for my phone with my eyes closed I uppercut myself under the chin haha. I wonder what was going on in my mind at that particular moment.

Now for some relatively positive occurances. On Friday some of us played some basketball at the rec. Good exercise, but we didn't get to play enough because the high school kids that show up came late and left early. Unfortunate for me because I had a lot of pent up energy from the week that I wanted to get out and leave on the court. Damn you kids, damn you. Did play bball on Wednesday though, and I lit it up like two-time 3-point champion (and UCLA legend) Jason Kapono.

Thursday evening was good too. Gerald, Mare, and I first went to Mimi's Cafe for dinner and dessert. Afterwards we saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which I enjoyed. I'm sure it helps that I find Kristen Bell way adorable. SUPER KAWAII. Oh one funny moment: during the movie the lead male was lying in bed at 2:25pm or so due to being sad and people in the theater laughed at him. Some chick sitting behind us was like, "that's so late." Then I laughed too because that's what time I woke up...


Really tasty triple chocolate brownie. Enjoyed it much but who knows how many sit-ups this'll cost me.

Last weekend we went to Concord to celebrate Sosage's 30th bday with a console lan. 360s and board games, no computers. I think someone brought a laptop. We played a pretty new version of Scene It? and I came in last place. Twice. I blame all the pre 1990 stuff in the game that the old people are more familiar with. I swear if they did a version that only covers the previous 20 years, I'd be king. Good times and fun all around though. Thanks for letting us celebrate with you Sosage!

On Friday the 25th Gerald and I went to Kirkwood to get one last run of the season in. Traffic was pretty much nonexistent and we got there in about three hours. At first the snow was really stiff and frozen, and I ended up taking a few good hard falls on that stuff. Then it was really good for a while, and in the afternoon it got pretty slushy which is okay but you really have to put your weight into kicking out the back foot for turns. Also there were a few super hot snow bunnies, which of course, deserve a Rachael Ray "yum-o!" Coming back we stopped in Tracy to eat at Sonic with Tony, who couldn't board with us because of work. First time eating there. It was decent. I'm really interested in their dessert and drink menu. Oh and the waitresses ride old school 2x2 roller skates and they give you change from a belt dispenser, like they used to do at arcades 15 years ago.

Anyways, not everything has been peachy this week. Things have gotten to the point where my shit computer and I are on the fritz. It'd be great if this upcoming week were at least uneventful.

Dear TPTB,

Please let things be average again. Let me not be affected by things that truly don't affect me, but more importantly allow me to again be the stubborn rock I know I can be. Also, if I could be wiser in understanding others that would be appreciated as well. Oh and although I don't usually mind obliging those around me, if people could stop issuing me decrees on what I can do to please them, that too would be agreeable. Thanks for the time.
