from tonight until the end of time

Well as expected I was a bit late in showing up to my 8:00 AM chem lab. Turns out, the teacher already knows my name. I walk into class, and she says "Jerry there's a seat for you here." and points to some seat in the middle of the room. Craaaapppp. Not so good. Then we spent most of the time talking about lab safety filled with stories of people getting burned and cut and splash damage from chemicals. Apparently this one chick once got chemicals on herself, and was able to wash most of it off, but neglected the skin under her bra straps, leaving some scar tissue there. Ouch. Basically as soon as the teacher finished talking about having a fire drill within the next month or two, we have one at LPC. It's basically the same as the one's at the schools out there, but the bell isn't as loud nor as annoying. Oh well that was a good 15 minute break.

I was pretty bored during my break between classes, so I ended up programming my program in the lab. That took about twenty minutes, and a large chunk of it was trying to figure out what the proper syntax for the getch() command was, haha. Oh well. Thanks to b and sb who helped me out there. Costco for lunch. Then CS lab. Then KB Toys, Target, and In-N-Out in Livermore. The Target out there has 10 Things I Hate About You on dvd. Omg. Eventually, I will get that.

At 3:00 we went to the transfer club meeting, (ie Laker fans forum) and talked about some stuff that was coming up, like where the club was going to visit and all that good stuff. Looks to be pretty good in there, and they like to take extra days to have fun on their trips. Nice. I stopped by Costco again after leaving campus, to look for some champagne, but turns out they ran out. Booo. That was some pretty good stuff.

Napped from 5-6 or so. I forget. Went out after dinner to Kragen and Albertson's with the parents. Tried to get my dad to buy me a K&N filter, but he wouldn't go for it.

The library called my house today. There are a lot of movies on hold for me, haha. View them here and here. Nice. I'll have to call in some reinforcements tho for this job.

i love you came too late

Stupid attbi spiked for a second, right when I clicked publish. Weaksauce.

Anyways. I was running late today, so I decided to grab breakfast with me in the car. I tried eating it while I was driving, to no avail. I then tried again. *Plop* My cinnnamon roll bites the floor mat. Nooooooo! Good thing most of it stayed on the plate.

Chem sucks. I dislike my teacher. Not only does she have the old grandma-like voice, her lecturing style is whack, too. She'll be in the middle of saying something, and pause like she's looking for an answer from the class, only to say the answer anyways. Man. On the other hand, my biology class is totally cool. My teacher there has a knack for saying ", right?" In the context of "Einstein's theory of relativity, right?" and "plants photosynthasize, right?" Haha. It's almost like Mr. Quest and his ", no." Or so they tell me.

After that class I went to the library like I always do. Chatted with Yvonne for a bit before going to the computer and wasting time there. CS is a big bore still, but at least we're getting close to programming. Went to Costco for lunch, baby. Calc is still a big bore, and it sucks. We're going over limits now, and so far I'm getting the stuff. Maybe it's because I did some of this stuff back in the high school precalc days.

the earth is moving, but i can't feel the ground

Slept full eight hours last night. First time in a while I've done that. Woke up around 11:15 or so, to learn that my dvd2svcd died overnight, so no encoding got done. I promptly got the encode started, then lounged around til 12:30 or so for my dmv appointment to renew my license. I ended up leaving at like 1:00, for a 1:05 appointment. Hahaha, needless to say, I got there late, and finally got to the window around 1:30. For some odd reason, the appointment line was moving slower than the walk in line. Lets see, I got a new picture taken along with a thumbprint, a new signature (which I janked because I didn't loop my letters below the line), some data adjustment (right now says 135 points, haha), and a vision test with what seems to be the same letters on the same board that was there four years ago. Oh well, 10 minutes and 15 dollars later, I was out of there.

I made my way to the mall and strolled around inside. It's probably been a month or something since I've been to the mall. Anyways, I lollygagged around the place, stopping through all the stores that I normally do. Obviously it was pretty empty. Some stores actually had no people inside. I walked into A&F, and noticed the additional 50 percent off deal going on inside. "Titeness," I'm thinking to myself, but alas, it's 50 percent off stuff that's like 50-60 dollars. Weak. After a bit more walking around, I picked myself up a blue dress shirt because I didn't have one. It's my belief that every guy needs at least two dress shirts: one white and one blue of any shade, with any extras being gravy.

Stopped by the library today. Whoa. That's two days in a row at the library. Scary. I actually did go there for work, and not to rent more movies, haha. I did my chem homework and read a little while Nick was doing stuff on The Wizard of Oz. Oh man, the library. Hahaha, I still can't stop laughing that I went. The driveway there is janky as a mofo.

Got home, had a quick little discussion on future technology, then went downstairs to watch The Wedding Planner with my mom. Haha, finally an easy going movie. You can probably guess what's going to happen, but I still liked it nonetheless. The statue thing was pretty funny. Hmm, I think I can put together a dollhouse. Does that movie place at the park actually exist out in the city?

"You saved my shoe."
"Yep this is definately a limestome penis."
"You smell like red plums and a grilled cheese sandwich."

I was reading the paper yesterday, and I came across this article. Man, I don't know about you, but that's pretty weaksauce. I've actually heard this happen to some degree. Bad form, bad form. This makes for such lack of drama. Where's the fun in that?

it was good while it was, whatever it was

Another 9:30 start today. I swear these Monday and Wednesday deals are going to be crappy. Pretty much after CS class I'm ready to go home. But no, I have a 2.5 hour gap until calc. Let's see. I almost got schooled in chemistry two quizzes in a row now, confusing which side of the equation is a reactant and which side's the product . Luckily I "guessed" right. Bio was alright. I started to fall asleep in comp sci. Too many boring terms. Went to In-N-Out for some food during my long break. Calc still seems boring, and semi-hard, but at least the teacher doesn't know how to use a calculator. He was doing all these noobie things like putting ((2x)^3). After school, I stopped by the library to pick up the holds I had. Amazingly there were five movies ready for me. View them here.

Great job, friends. We just passed 21 thousand hits since August 01. Keep them hits coming!

Excerpts from Lost and Delirious:

"Abide in this dull world which in thy absence is no better than a sty."
"The crown of the earth doth mealt, and there is nothing left remarkable beneath the visiting moon."

Ah, the above was taken from Anthony and Cleopatra.

"Love is. It just is... and nothing you can say can make it go away; because it is the point of why we are here. It is the highest point, and once you are up there, looking down on everyone else, you're there forever; cuz if you move, right, you fall, you fall."

This one is going to be permanently displayed/archived somewhere. I've wanted to see this movie since it came out last year.

razzle dazzle them, and they'll beg you for more

Worked today. Two weeks now it hasn't been busy with the carts. Good stuff. It's gotten to the point where people are telling me they want my job cuz all they see is me not doing anything, haha. Plus none of the regular ctl's were working today, so it was nice not having to hear their annoying voices on the radio. I only had to fill up carts maybe like three times the whole day. I read the Kristen Kreuk article in Seventeen during my break in the unlit food ave. They didn't have paychecks when I left. Boo. I got a lesson in women's clothing, and a coworker asked me something pretty peculiar. The Target rumor mill, mwahahaa. Oh well. On another note, kids today are weak. Useless for anything.

Watched Alias after the superbowl. After watching the commercials during the game, I actually recorded it, haha. You know, those 2 minutes of Sydney in the beginning is worth a tape of mine. Today's show was supposed to be the one to watch for those who've never seen a show. The Yan brothers both decided to start (or at least try out) the show. Man. When Michael brought Sydney into the little side room to tell her they couldn't continue "on like this." Everything she goes into the field he can't sleep, and when he has to debrief her he can't remember what he's supposed to say. Heartbreaking. Then at the end they kissed in that whole happy ending thing. Sweet.

So which lingerie looked better?
38.18% The red number.
24.54% The black ensemble.
37.27% Red. No, black. No, wait …

ShrimpSiumai (8:01:16 PM): she's not pretty enough to suck up 30 mins of mine

Pretty enough to take up 3 hours of my blank tape!

The Raiders lost, boo. Heckav disappointing. Notice all the blown calls against the Raiders? The NFL is against Al Davis, man. A bunch of us went to Nick's house to watch the game, where he readied a bunch of food and drinks for us to chow down on. On the way back from work I stopped by KFC to get a bucket full of chicken wings. They wouldn't give me 90 pieces because they're machine or something wouldn't let me do it. So I asked for 68 pieces. Turns out they gave me 70, and you all know why. Too bad I'm wasting my mojo on chicken wings. Crap. So I get home from Nick's, to see a new 2003 Expedition parked in my spot. Yeah. Whatever. I don't concur.

paradise is very nice

Okay it's late I'll try to write this quick. Woke up around 11:00ish yesterday morning, and headed out to lunch with the family. It was some Mongolian barbecue place, and this one teen couple walks in or something. Anyways they walk up to the big cooking part for all the stuff and they end up staring at it with the "wth" look on their faces. Haha. Then we drove on over to that one shopping center place across the street from Target. First I walked through Ross, debating whether or not to get a shirt or not. I forced myself not to. Then I moseyed outside toward Marshalls, stopping inside Michael's first. There was a whole bunch of stuff I wanted to buy, but didn't. Self control, I guess you can call it. You know me though, once the ball gets rolling, it's over. Clothes, shoes, bathroom accessories, etc. Lol.

I haven't played Warcraft 3 in a heckav long time till yesterday. I did play, but it wasn't a real game or anything. About 1/3 through the map, the game crashed. Boo. Some of us then went over to Nick's house, and we played some Tekken Tag before heading out to dinner at that steak place on the boulevard. I had a Rancher's steak or something, which was basically rib-eye with sauteed mushrooms. We then went back to Nick's house, to first play some Super Smash Brothers, then watch the Warriors beat the Jazz. Our Warriors are going to the playoffs this year! Lakers 7th, Warriors 8th. Hahaha that would be something to see.

So I was surfing the net earlier, and with all this recent dvd talk and whatnot, I decided to go to the library and put a whole bunch of stuff on hold, hahaha. Anyways I went through about 800 movies, requesting anything interesting. There's a limit of how many things you can request, too: "There is a problem with your library record. Please see a librarian." Haha when I saw that, I borrowed my brother's card and put a whole bunch of stuff under his name, Lol. The first time I've requested stuff from the library in years, and it's a bunch of uneducational movies. Unless you count it educational in terms of life learning, but that's another story. I requested a good amount of drama and chick flick type movies, but I didn't forget those action moives. This is the list under my name, while this is the stuff I requested under my brother, haha.

[11:25] well we're working on a 65" in right now
[11:25] 70" now
[11:25] really?
[11:25] yeah

[23:55] i just want to load it and play

"I pretended that you were stalking me and I said I would call the police."

Hahahaahaha... sorry, I'm retired.

[01:30] wtf are you checking out books at the library for?

"Don't bite off more than you can chew."

[01:58] me: i'm going to shower
[01:58] me: when i get back
[01:58] me: i hope the list is complete
[01:58] me: you have until: 3:00 am
[01:58] d: ie. you have about 1 hour

I think I started napping over an hour ago with the intentions of waking up one hour ago. Needless to say, that didn't work so well. Goodnight.

i bet they'll never make it

Finally my weekend has arrived. I'm so freaking tired. I mean, yeah I start school at a normal school hour, but I'm in no way at all a morning person. Not at all. Anytime earlier than 10:30-11:00 is too early for me. I'm slow as a slug getting up, and I'm generally grouchy and lethargic in the morning. Also, I'm more inclined to be late arriving at places. I think it's cuz I don't sleep enough. 6.5 hours or so. Weaksauce. Then again, I'm too stubborn to sleep earlier. Oh well. I'm paying it now, and hopefully I'll be reaping whatever rewards come later on, hopefully in 3 more semesters. Maybe two.

I think I already dislike my chemistry teacher. It's just something about her. She's one of those annoying old ladies you'd picture up when you think of an annoying old lady. Then she also asks trick questions on quizzes. Like today for example, she asked if tap water was a pure substance and why. Obviously it is not, but I said because there were two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. Puahahaha. Shoot me now. The answer's supposed to be something because tap water is dirty and there's all that crap that comes out of the sink with it. Silly silly me.

On the other hand, I think I'm going to like my biology teacher. She's also an older lady, but she has a quality in the way she talks and presents herself that makes her easy to listen to. We basically went over lab safetey and all that good stuff for the about the first hour and a half of lab. Then we learned all the parts of a microscope and how to "properly" use one. After that was learned, we scrapped our own cheek cells and viewed those under the microscope, using our newly acquired skills. We then drew a sketch of what we saw, labeled some parts, and that was that. Let me just say that I am blind. Oh.

I came home to discover Kevin trying to install the new cable modem from attbi. You'd think it'd be a simple process, taking no more than ten minutes, but noo. I spent maybe thirty minutes trying to fix the thing, and Kevin spent about a total of an hour before learning that he didn't power cycle the cable modem when he first plugged it in. Man. While he was working that out, Tom came and we put his short ram intake into his car. Nick came by and helped out a bit. All in all, the project took about an hour and a half of time. Pretty easy install. You can actually hear the whirl of the intake when you start driving in the higher power band range. I wonder what the next car project is going to be, haha.

The Lakers lost to the Nets. Weaksauce. I also watched Road to Perdition. Great mobster movie. A movie about revenge, betrayal, and a father protecting his son from his violent lifestyle. I enjoyed it. Now the next movie I watch is going to be a lighter (ie comedy and/or chick flick). Whoot.

[15:37] i just plugged mine in
[00:33] (his) were too big for him but probably not for you

living in the memory of our song

Man. I woke up savagely early for class. Earlier than 7:00 AM. That's insane. Almost as bad as high school. Give me a break. Oh well. Chem lab was super boring, going over sig figs and stuff like that. We got out an hour early, so I did nothing in the library for over two hours until my CS lab. In CS we copied a program from a book, ran and printed the output and source then turned it in. I'm quite the moron; I didn't copy the book correctly and I actually had to debug some stuff cuz I'm blind or something. Janky. Then my wrist started hurting from all the typing because I don't type using a fundamentally correct method. Oh well.

It kinda rained earlier. Sucks on the road but I guess it's pretty good from a window. The Warriors are on a roll, and beat the Nets. I started putting together my poster, but I can't cut straight. What a great lack of skill. I just finished reading over some chem stuff. There's a quiz tomorrow or something. I hope I didn't miss anything. UCLA @ UCB basketball this Satruday at 1:00 PM. Maybe I'll try to get some tickets from someone. Then again, I'd be cheering for the wrong school. Go Bruins.

Congrats to my bro Kevin for passing his driving test. First Ken, now Kevin. Oh man. The horror.

i knew i had you, as cocky as it sounds

Okay I woke up at freaking 8:15 AM to get ready for school at 9:30. I make laps around the parking lot and see Tom pulling into a spot. "Lucky mofo", I'm thinking to myself when booya, a car in front of me starts to back out. Yesss. Made it to class on time, but was forced to sit on the side anyways. There was like 57 people in my chemistry class. So the instructor's some doctor who demanded that she be treated with the same respect we would give university instructors like "at Berkeley." I'm sorry, I don't understand that. What does she mean? Don't talk when she's talking and show respect at all times? Uhm, if that's the case, shouldn't that be a given? What is the "at a university" part supposed to mean if it all comes down to common courtesy. What makes her think that I'd give a professor at a university any more respect than I would give her? By saying that she's just degrading her own situation. I would never treat a teacher at a school with a name more respect just because of where they teach. They've put in some effort to be there, and so would every other student. Respect for authority figures should be a given, regardless. "At Berkeley." Pfft. They're not hippies, they're artistically cultured. Davis isn't boring, there just isn't anything out there. LA isn't superficial, it's just in LA, that's all. LPC doesn't suck, it justs... nvm. But I digress. As a friend at NYU likes to say: "Go Bruins."

So I walk into biology class with a pretty girl, thinking gg to myself. As the instructor finishes taking attendance she starts asking who wants to add-in and when too many people raise their hands, priority numbers start floating around. Apparently the pretty girl didn't have a priority number, so she just left. Class got that much more boring after that. Turns out I have a field trip sometime next month to the Año Nuevo wildlife preserve to check out some sea lions or something. Sounds pretty awesome. On the way out the teacher asked us to write our names and something unique about us on the card that she will read on Friday. After thinking for a while, I wrote that I eat salad and spaghetti with chopsticks at home, haha. Oh well. After class I ran into Allen Chai.

CS is CS, in the sense that it's boring. Bought books before heading out to eat. Yes, the line wrapped around across the room, but it only took maybe thirty minutes to get in and out of the bookstore. Man. I've spent over 400 dollars on bookx this semester, like twice my tuition. Crazy stuff. Went to eat at Quizno's. I was in the mood for salad for some reason (probably from the bio episode). So I got a honey mustard chicken salad. Good stuff.

Eventually Calculus came around. He talked about series and sequences, which I've seen before so it wans't that bad. Then he started reviewing functions, and I had no idea about half the stuff he was talking about. Then the guy started saying how 0/0 can equal any number. Wth. Shoot. We did introductions in class, going around the whole room. When my turn came, I stood up, said my name, that I'm a biological science major, and that I didn't like math and I'm only there because I have to be. All true. That class sounds so freaking hard. I'm beginning to feel screwed already, and we haven't even started learning yet. Yikes! Sometime during class I fell asleep.

So I'm watching American Idol and the Bachelorette earlier, and I have to say the former is pretty funny with all the bad people singing. It's like, all the people who can't sing choose difficult songs that require falsetto and stuff. Haha. Man, in the Bachelorette, the guy takes Trista up on the Good Year blim. Man. Helluv unfair. Not everyman has a blimp he can use to take his girlfriend up on the bed of clouds to look at the sunset. Weaksauce. That hacker. Hacker. You know what? I want a blimp now.

Uhh, 8:00 AM lab. I'll be waking up close to when I did during my high school years. Major suckness.

Pics from January (including sub project) are up.

i know i'm better than your man, if you only knew

Bah
Well I woke up kinda early today to go to LPC. I show up around 10:50 AM and turns out there's no parking that time or something. So yeah I end up parking on theupper lot way up top out in the boony. Weaksauce. I make the trek back to the school to admissions and records and pick up an add-in card before going to the english class I wanted to add. During class I go the admissions and records again to get my priority number, and it turns out I still don't have one. Basically that means I can't add crap now cuz I have priority over no one. Piece of crap weak mofos. So no english for me this semester. Summer school, here I come. *lets out sigh of pity*

After leaving school a tad early I went by Costco to buy some photo paper. $19.99 +tax after coupon for 100 sheets! The guy gave me the coupon back, so I might go back for some more later. Stopped by Best Buy, and bought some rca cables. There was a no name brand on clearance for $3.50, Jensen's for 10 dollars, Rockford's for 30, and Monster's for 40. No way I was going to get the clearance or Monster cables, so I stood there for a while deciding between the Rockford and Jensen cables. Then I looked on the back of all four boxes, and they all said "made in China." After a slight chuckle, I bought the 10 dollar Jensen cables.

Finally
Got home, ate lunch, and headed over to Chester's house to finish putting in my subwoofer/amp reinstall. Today consisted of mounting the subs on the box, the amp to the side of the box, putting connectors on wires, and wiring everything together. Everything today took about four hours. We even managed to hide the wires that were exposed in the rear cabin. All I need to do now is calibrate the sound filters and crossover. It's pretty darn loud outside, and I bet people who sit in the back seat will experience some headache action going on. After 24 hours of work spread over a period of five days, everything is now done. Whoot. Now I can enjoy my work. All of this, for now, serves no purpose, with the current musical phase that I am going through. Pics will be up shortly.

American Idol was on earlier. Pretty funny people. Also flipped to Smallville for a bit. Dude, I missed Gilmore Girls completely. I swear, Tuesday evenings are so freaking packed with tv to watch. Such a pity that you can't watch everything you want. Man. What hardship.

"eh... they'll be wet tho"

It is kinda early.

Okay. My month+ vacation is over. Now I must forget my fun and uncaring ways and get my game face on. School is about to start.

So I was watching 7th Heaven earlier. Simon's talking to his gf's dad, trying to convince him to let her go out with him. The dad's abused his parental powers by barring the two from seeing each other because they approached their parents about being interested in sex. As if that is a decision for the parents anyways. But anyways, Simon said something that I just somehow found interesting: "Every other guy is going to be just like me, but be less honest." I think this goes back to the whole perfection doesn't exist thing.

Oh so it's national butt grabbing day again, lol.

Do not despair, my super long blog about the last year is still on it's way. The thought has been thought, and the outline has been outlined. All I need to do now is finish writing the written part. So sorry on the delay.

could have my teeth flashing a brad pitt smile,
be wearing versace cuz that's my style;
could have my hair cut by the extra mile,
but if she can't make it worth my while
then what's the point now?

Well well well let me try to think up what has happened the last two days. Oh yes, I worked a short four hour shift that was suprisingly easy. I didn't have to really work to get carts or anything. Half the front is like blocked off now, so there are like no carts down that way anymore. So yeah, easy, mindless work. That's what that place is.

I was in a rush to catch the game, but I had to do a few things before going home. First I returned some stuff to Target that I didn't need. Got about ten dollars back for that. Went to Best Buy, and picked 200 cdrs. A spindle was supposed to be like 26 dollars + 18 dollar rebate, but I had two coupons so I used those. The coupons were supposed to be for 10 percent off, but the cashier gave me 10 dollars off each spindle instead, haha. I wonder why. Oh wait, I do know why but I won't digress right now. So after I get my two rebates back, I'll have +6 dollars give or a take some change. Yay. Then I went to Borders. All 2003 calanders and datebooks are three dollars! Omg. I picked up, check this, calendars of Britney, JLo, and Buffy. Whoot.

Went to Nick's house to watch the game with Tom and Will. We won. Oh yeah, go silver and black. By this time next week, we'll be out in the Oakland streets celebrating. Raider nation, baby.

As for last night, Kevin, Gerald, and I went to Chester's house to help him install his amplifier. We finally found a spot in the firewall to puncture for the hole. We ended up finishing around 3:30 in the morning or something. We're basically done now. It's all a matter of making connections now.

I got up around 1:00 PM today. Ate lunch, changed, and headed out for a bit. Tom, Nick, and I went to Best Buy where Nick got a spindle of cdrs. He wanted a webcam too, but they ran out. They also ran out of 60 gb hard drives that were on sale. Boo. Then we stopped by Target to return a calander. I ended up buying Drive Me Crazy on dvd for < 6 dollars. I tell you, new dvds shouldn't be more than ten dollars. Those things are expensive big time. Anyways we went to the mall to walk around and stuff, but nothing there either. It was almost empty inside.

StrikeoutK (2:16:35 AM): just got to find the hole

[15:36] my whole left arm is numb again :(

Okay this is all from the same person:
[12:35] on my way out of the apt (apartment) this morning
[12:35] i dropped a $10 bill on the floor
[12:35] my gf just woke up a while ago and found it
[12:35] and icq'ed me
[12:35] "that better not be a tip"
[12:35] [me] oh that was an accident (send)
[12:35] [me] i meant to leave it on the counter

Nice.

i didn't do it, but if i done it, how could you tell me that i was wrong?

Yesterday around noon time I went to Chester's house to begin cutting and sanding the wood for our boxes. We didn't finish, but made plans to return later that evening to finish up what had to be done. Anyways, when I got home I sat down to Chicago. Great movie which I liked a lot. For some reason the few musical-type movies I've seen I've enjoyed. One of the scenes in the movie was so great that I rewound the cd, turned up the volume a bit, and watched it all over again.

Around 10:30 PM I went back out to Chester's house where I first finished sanding the wood down. After we finished sanding we cut the holes in the boards. We decided to just go for it and go ahead and assemble the box, so we did. First we did his box, then mine. All in all, I got home around 5:00 in the morning. Yep. That early.

I woke up pretty decently today, at 12:30 PM. Ate lunch, then pretty soon after that some of the guys started to come over to my house. Eventually just about everyone was here, just hanging outside my house. I found out that the problem with my amp was that the male part of the rca cable broke inside the amp, so it's just stuck there. Pretty janky. I'll be getting that fixed pretty asap. As for Gerald's headlights, I believe it took thirty minutes to change one light, and about 2 minutes to change the other. Yes, they look nice and purty now.

Okay, screw the shower. Sleep instead. Man I'm getting screwed here. I'm up this late and the sun hasn't even started peaking over the horizon yet. Boo.

i gave my best to you,
nothing for me to do but have one last cry

Ah woke up at 12:15 yesterday. Around 1:00 or so Chester and I went to Home Depot. After making a stop back in CV, we went back out to Home Depot where we spent like an hour and a half buying all the things we need for our project. We finally got out of there, spending less than we thought we would. After getting home and sitting around a while doing nothing, I got in bed to watch some tv, apparently falling asleep while flipping between the basketball and hockey games. I woke up a bit after 9:00 PM, and caught E.R. at 10:00. At the conclusion of the show I went to Chester's house where we drew up plans and prepped everything. Now we're ready to screw some wood. Okay that did not sound decent at all. Oh well. I got home around 2:00 AM, but not before taking the long way home, by way of the hill. It was pretty fun zooming down at more than twice the speed limit. Again, oh well. You know me -- once in a while I just need to get out and do something to get that rush. Whether it be driving fast or doing something stupid. I'm getting quite lazy, too. Wearing the same pair of pants over and over again, haha. But you know how it is, you look better when you wear pants. Okay nevermind.

my shattered dreams and broken heart are mending on the shelf

Had some stuff to take care of today. First I went to the post office to send something (har har har). Then I went to Blockbuster where they had 30 percent off all previewed movies! I ended up picking up Serendipity and The Shipping News for only $6.99 each. Oh boy oh boy what a pickup. Headed on 580 East to catch some traffic going out to the LPC bookstore to write down book ISBN numbers since they don't list them online. Turns out I can't read my writing so I can't buy some of my books! Silly me. Bah. Either I'm going back again sometime or I'm just going to order what I can online then buy the rest from the store. What a rip off. They made me buy a xerox copy of lab safety/protocol/common sense for two dollars. I think they teach you that stuff in fifth grade or something. Bah. Filled up the gas tank at Costco, then decided to go in. I ate all the food I could, and decided whether or not I should buy some Epson photo paper. I decided against the purchase becase next week the Kodak paper goes on sale for the same price as the Epson paper. I also decided whether or not get a few more dvds. Certain $12.99 movies are now $8.99 for the week. A few movies included: The Rock, Armageddon, Amelie, Remember the Titans, and Tombstone. I grabbed three coupons. If you want one just lemme know. I then went to Comp USA to buy some cdrs, but they sold out and wouldn't give rain checks. Boo.

Looks like I'm on a movie "binge" or something. I bought those two movies today, plus requested four more from the library. Yes, you read correctly, the library. I'm actually using that little brick place on Redwood Road with the janky driveway and small parking lot that has all the books and periodicals inside. I needed help navigating their website, www.aclibrary.org, haha. Like, I better watch out or something. This might lead me to doing my homework or studying there. Or worse yet, research or casual reading. Oh no!

The Kings owned the Mavericks. I hate to say it, but the Kings are heckav good this year. I hate to admit this more, but they're actually pretty fun to watch. I still hate Webber, though. Also, the Warriors beat the Cavs.

My blogger is still janky, as you can tell. Oh well. Hopefully nobody gets hurt while mountain climbing later.

like i've never seen the sky before

Yeah, I got up early today. Chester came by to pick me up, but he overshot my house so he had to back up a little, haha. First stop: Target. I picked up a coaxial cable, (which I later found out I didn't need) and redeemed a free soda cap I won a while back. Went to Best Buy to look at some car audio stuff, and saw Ben Butler there buying a head unit. Bounced from there to Fry's to look at some more car audio stuff. Chester got his line-out converter there, which is like half the price of every other place that sells one. Go pick up Tracy from cvhs, then head back out to Best Buy, but end up not buying anything. Chester says he's gonna go back to Fry's at a later date. Hang out for the rest of the day, and that was that.

Well it looks like watching tv and recording something else on my tv set is not a possibility. Boo. On the bright side, today in Dublin I saw a Suburban with Sprewell rims, haha. You know, the rims that keep on spinning after you stop.

Watched the Gilmore Girls, Smallville, and The Real World. For the second time, Trishelle and Stephen have decided not to sleep together anymore because Stephen isn't returning the feelings that Trishelle feels for him. How sad. Oh man Smallville was intense. Basically, Lana trusts Clark now and is sorry that she always questioned him. However, now I think their chances of hooking up has declined bigtime. She tells him stuff like "you've been the one good constant thign in my life" and "i've doubted you yet you're still here." I dunno about you, but that sounds like buddy-buddy pals good-friends talking.

"Now that the quarterback has returned, you're back at your own one yard line with Lana."
Hahaha, that's a pretty good one.

Looks like LAP grades came back for those high school kids. Apparently Ken got a perfect score. Anyways here are his 10 out of 10 introduction and concluding paragraphs that I wrote:

"Love is like the wind, you can't see it, but you can feel it." If we truly love someone, time and place wouldn't matter. True love is difficult to find and when we do, we're likely to get lost. Though the loves in our life are not always physically with us, you know it's love when you love someone without seeing them. Even if the love we find doesn't seem possible at first, if the love is true then eventually everything will come into place. Heartfelt love can surpass obstacles that appear before it. Through the interlacing love connections in his novel, The English Patient, Michael Ondaatje establishes that place and time themselves are extraneous to human connection.

In the relationships between Hana and the English patient, Hana and Kip, Almasy and Katherine, and Almasy with Herodotus we are able to see that time and place are irrelevant to human connection. In the stressful time of war, coupled with the fact that the characters lived in a war-torn villa, the last thing the characters would think about was love. Almasy desperately tries to keep his love connection with Katherine even though he can't reach her in the cave, or even after she dies. Thirteen years later, after Kip left the villa he still wonders about Hana half-way across the world. This heart-felt love surpasses even death, as the characters grasp onto their emotions even past the grave. These love relationships signify that place and time themselves are irrelevant to human connection. Long-distance relationships and lost loved ones, these connections, if truly heartfelt, have the ability transcend place and time. It is only the truth in our hearts that we are able to have such human connections that we hold dear to us, it does not matter if it's here or there, or now or then.

Oh boy, what beauty.

i got what you want, got what you need. can i get another shot?

Got out of bed at 2:00 PM. Ate lunch at 3:00. Didn't do much til 4:30 or so when I went out to shoot some hoops with Chester. I'm really trying now to work on my short and medium range shots instead of stuff around the arc. I got inspired by the playing of people like Duncan or something. Anyways came home and didn't do much. Stupid 7th Heaven was a rerun, so I settled for women's hockey, the Sharks game, and the American Music Awards. If someone should send me the song in which the lyrics above appear in, I would be most thankful.

What is with my neighbor? I leave a few hours to play some basketball, and they move their car from their curb on the right to the curb between our two houses. Pretty janky right there. I mean shoot, if you get there first then fine. Don't be a punk about it.

In other news:
Congrats to Kevin who was a finalist at DECA regionals.
The PIAA equipment should be here Wednesday.
After two days, my download of Chicago finally finished.

how does it feel when the girl next to you says she loves you?

Worked yesterday. 10:00 - 2:00 shift, cart attendant. So it was backed up a little bit for a while, because that stupid machine and it's remote has a range of like 20 feet. Any further and it doesn't want to work. At one point one of the floor manangers came up and said "I have a concern... I want the cartwell full." Well then. If you don't like the way things are going, get someone else to grab carts. Shoot. Then they sent a girl out to help me. Pissed me off big time. Oh well. Less work for me to do. In this case I'll put my pride aside. Haha, I have to learn to do that more. Sometime during the day the girl that "so looks like a cheerleader" came in for a while. I bought myself a coaxial cable splitter for my tv, a big envelope, and a Britney Spears 2003 calendar that was on sale. During break I scanned through a wedding/bridal magazine that had Jessica Simpson on the cover. I read about her marriage and saw a whole bunch of pictures. Dang, 6.75 carots on two rings. That's way more than two months salary.

Got home to watch the Raiders game in the second quarter. The Niners had already lost, so I was really hoping the Raiders would win. They did. Big time. Watched Armageddon, ate dinner, then watched Alias. Sydney and Vaughn finally went out on a "date." They were going to hook up too, but some bad guys had to come and start shooting at them. Boo.

It's nice to know that my present is being used.

[03:10] -[e]-DCC0081- You have been queued for 11 hr 59 min, currently in main queue position 14 of 40. Estimated remaining time is 5 hr 54 min or more. To remove yourself type "/msg [e]-DCC0081 xdcc remove".
It said that five hours ago. And five hours before that. It sucks to have cd1 of something but not cd2. Stupid Chicago rip that wouldn't work the first time around.

[02:31] is he hard?

cvhuie (12:18:15 AM): so...wedding dresses...which did u like?

StrikeoutK (12:19:30 AM): haha
cvhuie (12:19:35 AM): hehe
StrikeoutK (12:21:10 AM): WHAT ABOUT YOU?
cvhuie (12:21:33 AM): eh i have no idea what dresses are what
cvhuie (12:21:38 AM): haha

Hmm, I got back from the gym an hour ago. Pretty hard day of working out. Did some running; boy I'm out of shape. Worked out the arms a bit, then proceeded to do the abs. Eight minute abs they call it. The workout strangely lasts six minutes. Basically the point is to work out the abs using different exercises without stopping for the whole six minutes. After we finished that up I proceeded to do some boxing, haha. Yeah I put on the gloves and started beating the crap out of some pads. David was saying a whole bunch of things to motivate me because in the beginning I was throwing some pretty weaksauce punches. Eventually he found the right things to say to piss me off which made me throw some harder punches. Apparently some paint coloring came off of the pad. I can feel the soreness already.

in this sweet surrender

Went to bed last night around 2:45 AM. I remember seeing the clock at 4:00 AM. Woke up at 11:00. Janky. First we went to BMW to get a paper signed to get some free sunglasses. Then we went to Fry's and got myself a Canon S520. No, it's not a camera, haha, it's a printer. Also from Fry's I got an amp for Chester. Finally he can get his system going up in his car. Came home, sat around, then went out to look at some suvs. Chevrolet Tahoes and Suburbans to be exact. My dad's the only one in the family who wants a suv. Everyone else in the family is telling him to get a Nissan 350Z. That way, I can borrow it when I go on the hot date I'll never have. Yay.

I've read chapter one of the advice book. So far it's told me to throw out all previous knowledge and beliefs I've previously held true. Interesting.

just let me know how to start

Woke up at 12:30. Only that early because Kevin came back for lunch for the first time and tossed a little package onto my bed. Good luck to him and the rest of his colleague who are at DECA regionals. Turns out the package was a Chritmas present from Flora:

Front:

Back:

I opened it sometime in the evening hours, and I've so far read the preface. Haha. Looks to be an interesting read.

As for the daytime, Tom and I went up to Everette's house, but turns out everybody went to the rec to play some basketball. After a little hoop shooting and baseball tossing, we went to the park to play football. Needless to say, everybody got muddy. I tossed my pants and shoes into the wash.

Got a bunch of mail today. First the dmv sends me a notice saying my license is about to expire and I have to renew. Fine. Except I have to make an appointment and go in or something. Weak. Then I got a Christmas card from Target. Haha, only two weeks late. I don't think it's their fault though, as it was postmarked on the 23rd of December. Stuff magazine came. Yay, good viewing... err, I mean reading. Also, I got a jazz magazine called, coincidentally, Jazziz. Funny. I don't remember signing up for this. My letter to Santa hasn't been sent back yet. Then again I don't think I put a return address on it.

Man. I just spent 75 dollars on my car. Initially I was just going to get some wedge bulbs while Gerald got some headlights. Now I've decided on getting the wedge bulbs and a pair of headlights. Mine are Super Xtreme's near the top, his are the GT's at the bottom. Install next weekend then.

Haha, no spice lately. It probably is because of the lack drama. Good call.

I just organized/semi-cleaned my closet. Turns out I have a lot of clothes. Button-up shirts alone take up 2/5 of the whole area. Half is taken up by jackes that only get half a year playing time. That doesn't leave much space for other stuff. I need to clear out the other closet and take up that space with more of my clothes, hahaha. Now I have to attend to the lower half of closet numero uno where the pants are. Have to hang like half of them, then sort afterwards.

is this goodbye or hello?

I only woke up at 12:30 today becuase Stuff magazine called me to ask me to resubscribe. Man, let me tell you, those people are sneaky. The lady was like "You get a free gift, and I'll throw in some extra magazines, too. You'll get all this after I charge for your Stuff resubscription. This is a real good deal." Blah blah blah. Needless to say I didn't do it because Stuff is free in the first place. The lady then started telling me how crappy her checking account is, and how Target wouldn't hire her. "Those guys won't hire me; yeah I've been trying to get out of this." Puahahaha. Telemarketer vs Target team member. Umm I dunno, that's a hard one.

As expected, I was late to my scheduled 2:00 PM appointment. Naturally I showed up thirty minutes late to the gym. The guy then offered me all these plans, but everything was in the 500-600 dollar a year range. No thanks. Then he tells me the cheapest way is to be added under a friends account as a referral; which would make the total like 220 a year for three years. Not bad. Maybe I will do it. If my parents pitch in, haha. Anyways. I ran myself a mile on the treadmill. Boy am I out of shape. Took like 8-9 minutes. Then again treadmill running is different than track running because instead of running with/against someone or towards a finish line, you're running to a number. So boring. Did a few arm workouts, and that was that. Areas of the body needed for running are now sore.

Dude, what was Ken and most every other guy thinking. Either I'm blind or I jumped the boat.

[11:34] it's grinding so hard

[13:03] me: give me a textbook to read

You know things are dull when I say something like that.

Bah I just ate a late night snack. Where the heck is my self-control? Haha. I used to be able to tell myself no when I got hungry at night, but it seems I can't do that anymore. Noo, I had to go for the three pieces of chocolate and the chinese bread thingy. Maybe this is why I'm getting fat. =\

do i have to cry for you?

Well again I didn't do anything. Getting quite sad - I don't even bother changing out of my pajamas. Anyways did nothing, except watch some tv, like the two Warriors games. Stupid Richardson had to score thirty two points, now I don't know anymore whether or not to drop him. I burned off a lot of stuff, so now I have room to download again. I got the webcam back up and running, but for some reason (probably attbi getting pissed at me for moving so much bandwidth these past few days) it was laggy as heck. I haven't left the house in two days. This is sad. I'm have an appointment at the gym tomorrow (or today rather) afternoon. I want to make a trip out to Target for some cheap dvds. Does Target Dublin even sell $5.99 dvds? Down in socal I saw Drive Me Crazy for that price, but I didn't get it because I wasn't sure if my discount would work or not. Compared to every other Target, the Dublin one has a weaksauce collection of movies. Didn't go out to Alameda for open rink. Next time I'll go.

While eating lunch I read an article about how much the state spends on prison inmates vs public school students. Yes, I'm on my soap box/political platform now. Apparently the state spends about $22, 000 a year on an inmate, while the money spent on a student is less than one third that amount. What the heck is up with that. And people tell me my priorities aren't straight. With $7, 000 a year, the state gives students books, a classroom environment with desks, whiteboards, windows, floors, bathrooms, running water, a roof, etc. Hey guess what? That's all the inmates need. A little cell with a hole in the wall and a toilet with a sink. Food? School lunches are two dollars a day. Times that by three meals a day, by 365 days and that comes out to $2190 a year. So what does the state need to spend the extra eleven grand on? Tv? Exercise equipment? Art classes? Give me a break. Give the inmates a field to run around in to keep their muscles from going stiff when they're good, and give them a smaller cell without the window when they're bad. Basketballs can be bought for five dollars each; buy maybe two of those each year and that's good enough. They can share basketballs. Buy one inmate a basketball, one a soccer ball, one a football, and all have them all share. I don't know about you, but the numbers seem kind of whack there.

[18:02] pansy: and will i see some one timer action

I haven't worn my retainer is about three weeks, so when I woke up this (technically yesterday) afternoon my teeth were a tad sore. Ate some lunch, and did absolutely nothing valuable. Sat in front of my monitor, worked on my Splinter Cell game, and went back to my monitor. I uploaded all my vacation pictures, which can be found here. Anyways, by late afternoon I was having a big ol' headache, which from what I do not know. It's not like I ran three miles or something, shoot. As the evening rolled around I resorted to the idiot box, flipping between Smallville and Armageddon. At least I'll have a lot of movies to watch over the next two weeks. Anyone care to join? What the heck is there to do around town. Everybody's in school.

still in my dreams you are so damn beautiful

Well I am back from my stay at Irvine. I also fixed my virii problem on my computer. Turns out the virus was a smart one or something; it prevents anti-virus programs from operating properly. Good thing those old people knew what I was takling about. Thanks for being old, guys. I mean for knowing stuff. I do hope nobody in my address book got owned by the virus.

Let me try to think what happened the lat few days. I remember watching the extended version of Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings on Saturday. The movie was half an hour longer than the theatrical release, and the extras do help in understanding the movie. Um Saturday night (technically Sunday morning) some of us climbed onto the roof of the dorm (*deep breath*) to chill for a while. As for Sunday, we went to eat to eat at a sports bar type place called BJ's, haha. Right across the street there was a place called BD's, hahaha. Seriously when I saw those two places I laughed it up. Yay for being immature. Tom and I played some pool afterwards, and I lost 1-3 haha. However, that game I won was a splendid one. I was down 7 balls to his 1 ball left, and I came back and hit 8 straight balls in to win the game. Sunday night we got lost in the city, but spent some time in a condo that had cable, something the dorms don't have. Did you all see the Niners come back and beat the Giants? Our flight was delayed at John Wayne for about twenty minutes due to weather.

Dorm foosball is freaking competative. Quite a few savage games were played, and they have a way of always going down to the final point. Anyways. Thanks Rob for letting us stay at your crib (I mean room).

The weather was nice down in socal. It felt like springtime on this January morning (okay so it doesn't sound as nice). Hopefully the weather up here stays nice, as I've been told that's how the weather's been. I do have a slight case of the sniffles.

Me lying on the floor Monday morning at 5:00 AM: That one girl's cute. She's some pretty good arf.
Tom while walking to get lunch eight hours later: You know that girl you were talking about? Rob says she has a boyfriend.
Me: Don't they all
?
Whoot. Owned.

Hello all, hello all. I am back in Castro Valley. Currently I am watching television, slightly unpacking, and trying hard to fix my system.

DailoTon (8:51:05 PM): must be some super virus
Oh man it looks like I'm screwed.

i used to get lost in your eyes

The life outside of CV. Well, not really the life, but one that is different. That's right. College dorm life here at UCI. Rob and Tom picked me up from Montery Park Thursday night, and they were followed by Eric and Lynae in their own car. We ate at some local Teriyaki place, then proceeded to meet Rob's roomie and a bunch of floormates and friends. After sitting around we went to Denny's in Josh's two week old Escalade. The street had three lanes, and there were three cars, so naturally as men we lined up at the red light. As the green light came, Rob's SI driven by Isaac darted off, but the Escalade was not to be denied. After a pretty even few feet off the line, the torque of the SUV took over and proceeded to dominate Honda's poor VTEC. The sad automatic Eclipse in the middle lane wasn't even a factor. We slept around 5:00 AM or so, after a long talk/debate/discussion/conversation on ranging topics. I slept on the carpet, with no sheet or blanket. Needless to say I was cold in the morning, and I managed to find a blanket for the rest of my stay.

As for Friday, after sitting around a few hours while Rob was attending class, we went around town (town?) to the bookstore and a few stores and stuff. Before we left, Kevin scared me a bit, but turns out someone told him to tell me some fake information. Good thing because I don't want to drive up to Hercules again . Target was one of the stops we made. Boo. We ate the food at the commons, which featured Chinese rice bowls and the obvious American foodstuffs like pizza and hamburgers. Not bad though. I ran into Justin (who used to work at Target), who I haven't talked to or seen in a long time. We watched Suicide Kings, a movie about a group of friends who kidnap a mobster for two million dollars. The movie was alright, albeit slight confusion. I then finally saw Coyote Ugly. I love this movie; I'm going to buy it when Target sells it for $9.44. I have to get The Wedding Planner first, though. Anyways I liked the movie; the bar scenes are great, the women are attractive, and Piper Perabo reminds me of a girl who I once knew - Rob agreed. Hopefully that's one point towards proving the whole blind/not blind thing.

i know exactly what i want this year

Well I am back in Monterey Park after being out of town (hmm I wonder what you call being out of town while being out of town, haha) for a couple of days. New Years was cool, and I'll happily share some stories at a later time. As for my bodacious good-gracious super-duper longer-than-d's-donger length blog, I will have to write up after I get home on the sixth. I hope everybody who went to the LAN had a great time, and as for everyone else I hope you all enjoyed your holidays in a fun and safe way where you actually remember what happened. As for myself, the only thing I'll say right now is don't chase vodka with Coca-Cola. Hmm I'mm off to Irvine in later this evening. I will see you all again when I see you all again.
